Hey, I have a friend with a 91 formula, with gutted cats, a flowmaster muffler, and a hypertech chip. He claims to run high 13's. At the track, with a really bad launch (sideways) he ran a 9.7 in the 1/8 at his best. I was just wondering how much hp/tq they have stock, how much hp/tq he has now (ballpark), and what he would run considering he has a perfect launch, etc. Thanks, I called [img]graemlins/bs.gif[/img] on him and he got mad saying that I didnt know anything

Theres no way in hell he'd run 13s or even close. If it's a Throttle Body Injection it's going to be really really sluggish. A TPI is our territory.Comment

A Nov. '02 issue of GMHTP have an article of an'89 Formula which they call Frugal Formula. Because they bought it for only $3k with 138K miles on it. It is a 5 speed with 3.45 G92 gears. At stock the car ran 14.8 @91.78. Then they only put a Dynomax catback and the car ran 14.6. That is almost close to the stock LT1. A little bit more mods and this car will be in the high 13. With poweradders it will be in the low 13 and high 12. That's just with the stock engine.
