• WOOHOO! Improved .64 and 3.89 mph

New Bestseses:
R/T: 5.228
60: 2.417 (still sucks donkeys)
1/8 ET: 9.88
1/8 MPH: 72.21
1/4 ET: 15.2516
1/4 MPH: 92.80

This was at Temple Academy...so at a good track like HRP that would be like a 14.5!

Those are taken from 6 slips...my best straight run was:

2.417
9.88
72.0
15.2516
90.89 (although on slower TIMES...my MPHs were consistantly 92.xx...weird)

anyways...Im happy...I think that is impressive considering all Ive done since last time (15.8 @ 88.9) was intake really. I raced alot more conservatively that time though.

I need to go back to my V6 rear springs and get some LCAs...I was wheel hoppin in 1st AND 2nd gear.

Oh and Ive figured out the secret to racing at Temple: always race in the left lane...the right lane sucks (bumpy as hell).

word to that.

good job adam! definetely a huge improvement over the last time you went.

and your car is almost stock, which makes the time/mph...OR shifting ;) even more impressive...

btw, that changes every time you go; sometimes it will be the left lane, sometimes the right...it's crazy, no one understands it...

did you bog on the 90 mph run?
back when i didn't know how to launch (sorry ),
if i bogged i'd run the same time slow, if i spun i'd run the same time fast

That's great! I'm hoping for a 15.4-15.3 next time I go. I do better in the left lane too!

Nope, this was open diff.

I didnt bog any...spun a few though...the one with the 90 run...I redlighted it...maybe didnt launch as hard as the others...not really sure, I was watching the Pewter SS next to me ;)

Oh BTW..there was a badass '70 Black Chevelle SS there... it was orgasmic to say the least.

:D

Congrats!!!
Driver experience can be a BIG factor.
Practice is the key to going faster.
You are becoming a better driver and you know your car.
You suck at 60 foots but that open diff and weeney gears are a major contributing factor.
Whenever you get around to adding LSD and a bit higher gears you will definately pick up some considerably

I have pulled my best mph's when I spin
I pull my best et's when I dead hook.

As for right vs left:
It depends on the night, temp, track prep etc.
Aso watch and see what kind of cars are staying on what side.
If you see many people with huge slicks staying to one particular side try and make a pass on that same side. There will be a lot of rubber there and traction should be good.
If you see a lot of people with street tires or FWD peopl doing e brake burns this can rip up the good sticky rubber.

It is all experience

Congrats!!
