my question to you is, if you put a higher-stalled converter in your car, do you think your times would improve, get worse, or stay the same? your 60's are obviously not lacking in much, so your converter appears as strong as any...of course, it could be the car that's stronger, and the verter that's just like any other verter. anyway, i was wondering your take on the matter?

i know a converter would help

with a higher str and being effeciant as stock atleast i know i should take off .4 (cause if i could cut 1.8 60' i know i could drop .4)

im thinking 3000-3200 stall 2.8 str 96% eff. at least i know would drop me .4 if i hooked

i agree with kris (crappyday) that 3500+ stall is to high a stall for our cars. if the rev limiter was like 6500 and you made more power with a cam on the top end then it wouldnt be to much but with stock heads and cam 3500 is looking to be too big because all the fast guys have smaller converters

i know jeff has the tq off the line from the converter but up top he dosnt have the power to keep pulling cause even when we raced on the same night he ran 14.60 i ran 14.66 and his 60' was 1.9 i belive compaired to my 2.0 so yea he takes me out the whole but is losing something top end

i think with a 6500 rev limiter with a nice cam that makes power till 6500 i belive that his converter would own i think when he shifts it shifts to right where his power band is peaking not allowing it to be in the power band as long
