Damn track closed as I was doing better. I'm still spinning part of the 60' and the weather was warm (upper 60s). I'm on stock tires/stock suspension with regular pressure in both tires. No gas, no spare tire.

Run 1
R/T 0.838
60' 2.155
1/8 9.867 @ 70.64
1/4 15.459@87.56

Run 2
R/T .647
60' 2.126
1/8 9.779@71.09
1/4 15.334@88.39

Run 3
R/T .634
60' 2.124
1/8 9.723@71.34
1/4 15.259@88.64

Run 4
R/T .544 :D
60' 2.127
1/8 9.694@71.49
1/4 15.213@88.80

I was hoping to pull 15.1 (and I would have if I had the 60' from run 3 in my run 4. Oh well...maybe next time.

Man thats fu***ng awesome! Your that close to being in the 14's!Your at the point now were you can give much more expensive/faster cars a run for there $$. Example, the 350Z is SUPPOSED to run close to a 14 flat. Realisticaly the times Ive seen them run is 14.6 to 15.3 depending on driver. You could break that Japanese corvette wanabees heart.

umm...no. you must be seeing some godawful drivers pull those numbers. my mom has a 350Z and trust me, they are much quicker than our cars. dunno where you are getting the information that our cars might could beat a 350Z, but heavily modded v6 f-body vs. stock 350Z would still not be a close competition.

Amen to that. I almost fell out of my seat laughing when I read that. This is the main reason why bench-magazine racers get smoked in REAL races..99Camaro, work on that 60' and you'll be knocking on high 14s.

oh I know I can't hang with a 350Z don't worry about it. I can't do better on the 60' because my track is horrible. I"ll have V8s that run up to Bradenton (3hrs away) and pull 1.7 60' and then they go to my track (locally) and pull a 1.88 to almost 2.0 with the SAME CAR! I was still spinning the 60' for all the runs and I was launching between 1,400 - 1,700 rpms (stock T/C). All I know is that this car is quicker and that I can launch better on the street. I was happy to keep the 60' VERY CONSISTENT which is important to me. Nikon from the board I met there ran a 15.1@89...damn it I wanted to beat him! I had him every other run tho! He just got lucky on that last one.

BTW: I have regular 245 street tires with stock suspension (minus a STB...which doesn't help for racing)

No I still stand by my statement, from what Ive seen at the track the best quarter done by a 350 while Ive been there ( every weekend) is 14.6.Probaly were bad drivers...Who knows? But not to say that isnt a awesome time for a stock vehicle, but there are MANY people on this board who post there times as being in the 14's.So how am I wrong on this? The time he posted of 15.2 is very close to being in the 14's like I said earlier he is that close to being able to give the 350's Ive seen run the quarter here a good challange and possibly break some hearts.

But thats what makes this board cool...We can disagree and have fun at the same time, anyways thanks for your opinions and PS.(I still stand by my staement but Im only on one leg now) can someone bring some good proof of how 350Zs wich run 14's-14.9 will destroy v6 camaros on this board who (with mods)are running 14's as well.... According to the timeslips page there are 36 NA people in the 14's.Someone push me down please...My leg is getting tired.

I hope you two are referring to the 3rd gen 350 fbodies running mid 14s.

no I mean a real 350Z...lol. They are capable of around 14.1 @ 100 tho so the moron couldn't drive.

Yea and my car was capable of running mid to high 15's, yet my first trip to the track yielded a best of (dare I admit this 16.8)Maybe the reason that the cars are slow is due to the elevation here.I dont know the elevation here but Im sure its not sea level.Any one know were I could find this imformation out?DUHhhh???? Ill just ask the track officials this weekend, so never mind...Lets just go ahead and end this one though. The 350Z is a much faster car than ours,I was just supporting 99camaro in his quest to quickness, by stateing that he's that close to giving faster cars a good run.Sorry for any confusion on this and my leg is off balance and Im falling off my statement. You right me wrong...Thanks guys Ill be here all week
