• New personal record, raced a board member for $$, and my car did good.

I left my car in street setup, I am going to be runing it at SLP Day march 29th like this, in the bracket racing. I am trying ot get my car consistent so I am runing it slower hten normal.

my R/ts were
.623, .586, .826, .548, .562

My ETs were.

16.068, 16.052, 15.893(did something different for the head to head race), 16.153(hotlapped it, I got 2 runs on the same VHT), 15.982.

New record is it was the first time I hit 15s in a street legal setup on my car I have a stock z28 catback by the way.

I think I might do Ok at SLP day still have some practicing to do before the big day

As for the race I lsot money in, he owned me with the R/T, I choked, I had a .26 R/T vs his .6XX r/t, and I ran a 15.8 to his 16.0.

He beat me off the line, I blew past him in the 60', and held the lead most he race but at the end of the 1.4 he was cathcing up I couldn't tell who won till the win light went off.

he won by 0.0101. :( but my ET was faster though, so I call it a draw Even though I gave him a the money he won, a $1.

Btw he had a 96 3.8L A4 with 3.08s and only a few mods.

I rigged somethign up then my normal setup to get a slightly quicker time for the run.

It was former86owner's friend form www.camaroz28.com (those who are there might know him)

I enjoyed the race, and want a rematch!

MustangEater--This is John, it was fun last night to race. Now I just need to get a few things to get my 60 foot time down. I think if I would have gotten one more run it, I could have hit the 15.9 mark again. We'll see what happens next Wednesday if we both show up.. I've got a few ideas how to "tweak" some things but we shall see. Again it was a blast to race last night..

we can race again to get my money back

I think you could sqeuze 15s out of the car, I was running 16 flats all night with my exhaust capped, then hit a 15.9 on my last run.

i went and bracket raced this past weekend adn did pretty good on my lights...consistent too!!

first round i had a .548, second round a .535, third round a .545, 4th round .441(oops)...i was out of the gas on all those runs cuz my opponents has .64-.73 lights so i had a lot of time in the bank so i was out of it so i wouldnt break out...it was fun but still didnt win no money... :(

Against the competition I think I may have to worry, but my expereicne is most he people at SLP day usually do not bracket race
I still need practice but I think i can get my times within 0.05 of each run, and my R/ts used to be good but I am out of practice, getting back into it though.

First, Next time we race, sure you can try to get your $ back...

I'm already working on a few things to drop my et more. I've ordered a Air Temp module from RK Sport, over the weekend I think I'll order a exhaust cutout. Hopefully Brian gets exhaust soon, I can put his Z exhaust on mine.

Oh so you weren't in street legal form when you ran the 15.4? *sigh* I feel better :D I should have tried mine w/ a cutout and taking as much **** out as possible. Mine ran the 15.8 w/ a flo-pro exhaust (****ty rip off of a flowmaster), full weight, spare tire/jack, back seat full o' sh!t. So we're about even when racing street legal setups! :D

I was full weight, interior, suspension just no CAT, and a $15 Thrush Muffler...

No Cat = not street legal.

Other then that its was legal.
