I had the HPP3 in for a few weeks.. i thought i felt a difference.. I ran 16.0 - 16.1 @ 83 mph all night with Power Tuning for 93 oct, 100% shift firmness, 195 cooling. Put it back to stock and ran a 15.9 @ 84 consistently. I figure that tuning would be good for a least one tenth..WTF? Anyone have track times before and after hpp3? thanks im really confused..

That is odd.
You might want to try some more track sessions.
I am hoping you would see power gains and et reductions.
Try some more times and keep us updated k?Race car - gone but not forgotten - 1997 firebird V6

If you can beg/borrow Autotap/OBD-2, etc, see what the KR is doing - maybe you're getting KR and losing timing or something like that.

Maybe it was just not so good conditions or something. I knocked off .3 with my jetchip, and I'm sure the tuning is very similar with the HPP3.

I "gained" about 0.3 tenths in the 1/4 with HPP3, although no mph? I was using 87 octane tuning on a tank of 89.
Could have been conditions. I think you should set the shift firmness back to stock, not because it is making you slower, but because it isn't making you fatser If i get to go to the track a lot in the future, I will play with HPP3 more, with maybe tuned, untuned back to back comparisons.Matt
2000 Firebird

FullThrottleV6.com

Funny, I was running 89mph @ 15.6 range (with a very poor launch) on 87 octane on 87 tuning through a stock exhaust system with mine... I didnt get around to trying the stock programming or not, but thats kinda weird sounding.2002 5-spd NBM Camaro

I was running 91 (thats all you can get in CA) with Octane booster that supposedly boosts +7 octane i think. Also tried using the 87 Oct setting.. no difference. Not so much concerned bout the Hpp3.. more worried why my mph dropped from 85 to 84. Last year 15.8s @ 85 were relatively easy and trapping at 85 happened every time.. Now im lucky to get a 15.9 at 84. I have stock plugs and wires still with 30k on the motor.. would changing them help at all? thanks i appreciate the help guys.. its damn frustrating running 16s in a 3.8 with 3.42s =/2003 Fire Red Dakota R/T 5.9
V-Force Exhaust
Custom Cold Air Intake

I know what you mean about the times I was running the same times last year and had everything done down below but the headers and I was getting the same mph, I would try the plugs and wires and fuel filter, see if that does anything.40th Ann GTp 4door

I see on your site that you have an OPEN differential. Did you have trouble launching at all? What were your 60ft times? When I ran my car bone stock, my mph was 84 but my et was 16.8 (car wasn't broken in, and it was bone stock, its a lot stronger now.) That mph seems very low for a 16.0. 85 seems a little low for 15.8 as well. It was about 35 degrees ... pretty windy. Also i pulled a 2.2 60'on the 15.9 run and the rest were 2.3-2.4. Its damn hard as hell to hook with these Kumhos. I highly doubt a POSI will take morethan a .1 off my time...2003 Fire Red Dakota R/T 5.9
V-Force Exhaust
Custom Cold Air Intake
