mustang dyno's give false readings.
You have an auto so the dyno must be pulled in third gear with the converter locked, if not then false numbers will be produced

No offense, but do research before you raise the BS flag. He said if the PCM is sensing a problem with the cat it will put the car into limp mode. My friend is having this problem right now, he removed his cat, and his car is slow as hell because it is going in limp mode. If your computer senses a problem with the cat and thinks it's not working properly, it goes into limp mode, which some how compansates for the faulty cat and lowers the emissions.

also no offense, but you need to do the research and open your eyes.
#1 i never raised a bs flag you tard, that was jason morgan. i was agreeing that the code doesnt lower performance.
#2 you need to do the research, jesus. look up the code or go to gm, that error is NOT A PROBLEM! I HAVE NO CAT ON MY CAR! I HAVE AN OFF ROAD PIPE AND I RAN A 14.3! i got an o2 sim AFTER the 14.3 pass. The code DOES NOT EFFECT ENGINE PERFORMANCE. YOU NEED TO DO RESEARCH NOT ME.
#3 this "limp" mode you speak of is when the "reduced engine power" light is on, not the ses. i also get the ses no from random missfires from my cam, this does NOT effect engine performance either.
#4 you are making all of that up about the emmissions. i have no cat as i said, and beleive me, my pcm doesnt do anything to compensate for the lack of it. it reeks of fuel all the time.
Zach is right. If its the SES code for !Cat it will not put it in limp mode or anything. Its simply saying "Hey, where's my normal sensor value... Oh well I guess its not there, lets alert the driver."
So *pop* on comes the SES.

You likely have old worn plugs or something causing your dyno to be so low, sounds like it really just needs to be checked out... everything from spark to compression to fuel.

Also not all dynos are the same, most rely on operator input for some factors, that honestly I am not sure about. I think weather simulation or something like that.<hr></blockquote>
At least. We are pushing 24lbs. 2 piece driveshafts. I wouldnt be suprised if we lose more then 20%. And I dont think I have seen a stock 3.8 dyno 175 RWHP. I say your dyno is pretty close.
And as far as SES making your car lose power, I think it depends more on what code you are throwing.
Well, think of it this way: two of your mods really don't add that much hp. As much as we don't like to admit it, headers and exhaust don't add that much power. Although I still think it could dyno at least 160-170. Go dyno it again at a different place, it might perform better. Ultimately, judge your car by how well it performs at the track.

well my be there is nothing wrong with my car and my be they tested it wrong but I finaly got a Car domain page so here is my dyno http://members.cardomain.com/phatrabbit
I dynoed my car stock @ 165tq and 155hp mustang dyno, 3rd gear A4- I wasnt happy with the dyno operator, Id like to run the gears on the auto to see what comes up. Cause who cars about the 1:1 I never hit 3rd when Im racing around town usually. It would be nice to know but Id rather know what Ive got from a dead stop up to 110 but onyl casue I wanna know 1st and 2nds power. =) not taht It'll be much differnt, but u have to not look @ how high the numbers are but where they are on the chart. I was very happy with my low numbers on my dyno, cause my Tq peak was almsot @ about 1800 rpm flat all the way to 5k and almost the same with hp. very strange but I love it. I didnt have any real climb on my chart, which is y my car is as fast as it is. May not have much TOTAL power, but Its there right off the line. I'll dyno it once I get the Aluminum Driveshaft on. Then We will see power increase.
So my truck is finally getting some work done, after 17 years, Oil pressure sensor went out and it’s located under the lower intake manifold. Have to...
