I won by .2426, despite the redlight, and my crappy r/t

Also on this run my tranny took a dump

I have a hard tiem getting it into 1st, and cannot get it into 3rd, gets stuck in 4th, and netral, and makes floating metal pieces noise in all gears and in neutral with the RPMs

Also I manged a track weight of 3020, didn't break my goal of under 3000, but still pretty good.

I was able to limp the car home, and now I am sporting the girlfriend who is not in the country's Cavalier, and the low coolant light is going off

Ohh well I had alot of fun, nice to have a freindly rivalry, and even better I got to see predator birds 3.4L, I love ot see 3.4Ls other then mine, they are so rare I have seen more 30th anniversary lt4s in the last 3 months then modded 3.4Ls

your friend still can't drive! :D

16s and don't give me the B.S. about hot weather. The worst, and I mean absolute WORST I ever ran was a 15.966@85mph and that was because I had bald tires and a nasty misfire and I was banging off the limiter on the 2-3 shift.

awww, i feel so loved :D i was pretty impressed to see another 3.4 run in the 15's when the best i got all night was a 16.9@80mph. i didn't get good traction at all, but i'm not gonna make excuses. my car is slow! congrats to mustangeater for whooping up on that 3.8L.

Good to hear that our 3.4s can give a 3.8 a hard time. Great job! Hope your car doen't cost you an incredible amount to fix it. :(

Is this a 3.8L Ford or GM? If Ford I could see you beating a pre-99 easily...but not the 99+ ones...whole different story. If GM, most of the 3.8L's seem to run half way decent....

                  Yeah, but remember...

no offense...but what the hell is your point? i never said anything about speed...i was talking about the MONEY they were racing for...did you read my post or what? i said WWOOAAHH! ONE DOLLAR! not WWOOOAAAHHH 15.8! i think racing for money at the track is mad fun, i used to do it all the time, but i also did it for more money. it was meerly a joke and then i wished them both good luck. the post has N O T H I N G to do with ET's.

I would race for more money but I am in college and poor!

We upted it to $5, I was willing to do a $100 but we decided aganst it. Probable a good thing, I did end up winning, but how my transmission crapped out... It was feeling iffy before the track but nothing severly noticeable I could have easily been stuck in 2nd gear and not gotten to 3rd and lost my money, which was the case immediately after the race.

A good wager is that the loser pays for the winner's track entrance fee or pays for the winner's food at the concession stand.
