• Even more weight reduction

Sigh, I've lost count on what the bird COULD weigh.
I got bored today when switching to my drag radials.
I removed my heat shields today.
The one over the muffler (note, I have a loudmouth so no muffler there), the one over the bend over the axle, and the one over the cat.

I don't drive it everyday so I'm not concerned. If it was drivien everyday then I probably would not have done it.

All 3 metal heat shields and little bolts weighed in at 6 lbs.

I know you will say 6 frigin pounds??? But at some point when you get to my level of weight reduction there aren't many things left to do

I think if the track is open this Sat I'll have a REAL weight of the bird.

Maybe 2899 by AIS 2??? Dunno

Have you checked into a fiberglass rear hatch w/ a lexan or whatever window? From what I hear they are available save a lot.

Or do you already have one?

Yup, 6 lbs
There are more heat shields (covering brake lines) but I have not removed those.

As for lexan windows and fiberglass hatch, as of right no too expensive.

yeah, I did all that. Removal of this and that. I left the seats in but did a lot of stuff like the sheilding and stuff I dont need. but then in goes stereo =P I guess the idea is, as light as possible and as loud as possible, Open cat and @ 5500 rpm my stereo can be heard over the engine. =)
