A .1 or .2, hope for the .1, it all depends on the weight saving and the tire you put on it.
Also it is my understanding, and I am no mechanic, that the 275/245 is the profile of the tire not the width. The higher the # the lower the profile.
The 60/50/40/30 is the width, the lower the number the wider the tire.
Somebody clarify this if I am wrong.
It would stand to reason that a DR, even in a 60 series, would hook better than a steel belt radial whatever they are called in a 40 series.
Tire compound plays a bigger roll in traction than tire size, now all things equal the wider tire will get more traction then a narrower one.
So I would think.I have made a lot of money in my life, most of which I spent on cars and women.
The rest I have blown.

You dont seem to have any suspension from your sig??? If this is the case get a PHR and LCA w/ nittos and you should be set. you gat it backwards. 245/275 ect... is the width in mm. 40, 50, ect.. is the profile stated as a percentage of the width. A 245/50 would be 245mm wide and the sidewall would be .5*245 tall.

Alright, 245 is the width in mm. 50 is profile in mm also. With no power adder, but having higher than stock stall and powerpack, you will pushing the nittos pretty good. I'd also say go for some BMR Lower control arms and possible an aftermarket panhard rod. Those two items are the next on my list, now that I have nittos and a strong clutch, she wants to hop when I get rtaction.www.fullthrottlev6.com THE SOURCE!

Take a 245 50 16 sized tire.
The break down is as follows:
245 is 245 millimeters wide
50 is 50% of 245 mm wide or 122.5 millimeters high
16 is the size of the rim at 16 inches
Will they be enough???
Hmmm, well, I got to a 12.8 with them.
Dead hooking with a stock converter and dry 120 shot
Spinning with a pro yank 3200 and wet 100 shot.
Lower the psi to 20.
Heat them up more than bf drag radials.Race car - gone but not forgotten - 1997 firebird V6

You could have no tires on your car, and your wheels welded to the a metal floor of a VHT factory and not hook :D
seems like they shoudl help but as said before go with suspension, you will be surprised I get my good 60's on the cheapest tire they mad in 235 or 245.
