• New best N/A et and mph and 3rd place at import vs domestic!!

<--- me right now
Well, I went to E town's import vs domestic "street wars"
I made 8 passes today.
Skinnes at 40 psi
BF drag's at 19 psi
New best race weight w/o driver is 3002 lbs
The posi unit is shot, most of the time I was spinning one tire :(
Video's will be posted shortly.
Hal shocks were set to complete lose.
I have noticed that with the 3 inch cat, full 3 inch from y pipe back and loudmouth cat back my 60's have suffered.
Best w/ 3 inch exhaust was 1.961
Best with 2.5 inch exhaust was 1.91X
My mph jumped up to just under 93 now
My et's hovered around 14.3's to 14.4's

Best runs are as follows:
r/t....712
60.....1.980
330....5.829
1/8....9.088
mph....74.92

mph....76.30
1000...11.918
1/4....14.355 <--- new et!!
mph....92.39

Throughout the whole event I had the best r/t of .503 until one of the very last runs someone cut a .500!!

14.407 at 92.30
14.355 at 92.39
14.369 at 92.81
14.363 at 92.78
14.850 at 91.89 <--- spun BAD
14.424 at 91.89
14.403 at 92.06
18.324 at 75.75 <--- Bye run

This moves me up in the ranks in the n/a catagory so I'm pleased.
That #2 spot it waiting for me

I'm very sure it has a 14.2 in it and quite possibly a 14.1! The 14.1 will be with soon to be added hp mods and weight reduction mods

Guess that's it. I'm quite exhausted right now.
I woke up at 5:45 AM today and I left the track at 9:30 pm and now I'm at work, sigh

Time to update my sig

No nitrous for now.
Imports one my class :(
I was the last domestic though

And the reason I lost is because I broke out. The run felt great and felt like a new et so it was either keep in it and get a new et and lose or let off, win but not have an even faster new best

Good job man. Your 60' might've suffered a notch, but it looks like the 3" system helped out your mph.

James, so, on average, what loss in 60' did you experience and what gain in the MPH? Overall, how do you think it helped/hurt?

-Justin

P.S. I have full 3 inch, and when I went from stock the edlebrock 3' with high flow cat, I noticed that my off the line power was about the same, but that my higher end power had gained a lot.

with my puny 3.4L

I noticed too much backpressure upping to a sotck lt1 catback and an highflow CAT. I need more freeflowing...

Edite because drunk exhaust tech is just not good tech
