• Went to the track tonight

Run my car toinght for the second time. Last year i ran 16.6@80mph with 2.4 60'. It was bone stock. During the winter i've added exhaust and new tires. Here are results:
1st run
R/T... .797
60'... 2.480
1/4... 16.603
MPH... 81.38
2nd run
R/T... .700
60'... 2.438
1/4... 16.417
MPH... 82.36
3rd run i put k&n drop in filter to see if does anything.
R/T... .627
60'... 2.293
1/4... 16.229
MPH... 82.38

K&N didnt really do anything, i just got better launch. It was 40*F outside with relative humidity at 50. BTW, i have 95 Camaro with 3.4 and A4 just with 3" pacesetter catback and k&n filter. The car has 95,000 miles.

Not bad my man.

What exhaust do you have?

Tires...
I have made a lot of money in my life, most of which I spent on cars and women.<p>The rest I have blown.

I have pacesetter exhaustp system from jc whitney for 150 bux. Its a 3inch catback with dual 2 1/2 inch outlest. It sounds nice and looks good. I like it a lot. As for tires, i have Yokahomas Avid T4, they were like 69 bux each from tirerack.
They are much better than Good Year GTII's i had.
I replaced Good Years with like 70% of thread left cuz they sucked so much, especialy in the rain.

Damn! Wish I'd run those numbers when I went to the track. I couldn't get good traction. Good to see a 3.4 close to the 15's. Especially with very few mods.

I hit 15s, with the only "bought" mod being a homemade intake and ignition wires

course I had my exhaust unhooked from the cat back and only hit that 15.913 once

Congrats on eht times, with lsd and some gears you are in the 15s easily.

Thanks, I was wondering if lsd could help me, cuz i found one zexel torsen for 95 from lmperfomance. If i have 2.2 60', do you think my car has enough power to cut better 60' time. MustangEater, thats a great time for a intake and wires, what was your 60' time and trap speed on 15.9 run.

I'll be honest I only hit the 15s once with only intake and free exhasut mod but it was a 15 second pass

april 18th, 2001

r/t .625
60' 2.180
330 6.500
1/8 10.127
mph 67.70
1000 13.260
1/4 15.913
mph 84.71

In the old 3.4L, I was running 16.0XX all month and busted that one out somehow. I think that was one of my favorite runs, my original goal was to run 15s in the car and I started at 16.8s, and worked my car down to that time with the same mods(I played with the CAI I made) but that was it.

hehe took me 20 minute to find that timeslip... found a couple cool timeslips.

-one where I hit a 15.661 twice back to back, to the thousandth of a second
-a 17.2, only run I ever got video taped :(
-some of my close races within thousandth of a second.
-me beating a 5.0, that ran a 15.5, to my 15.8 but I got him on hte R/T
-me beating a 6-speed trans am, that ran a 15.4, to my 15.7 but I got hom at the light(he spun bad)
-beating a Chevelle with some sort of small block in it, by about 100th of a second.
-waaaay to many 16.5-16.8s runs.
-Wahts really disturbing is I found the 16.4 timeslip I was so happy to get because it beat my a track freind of mine's best itme in his prelude

As for the LSD IT HELPS, the only thing that makes my car go is the launch, my mph is not that great, but I get great launches, and decent 60's, which someitmes drag out to give me nice 1/8ths, once I hit 3rd, I my car gets gutless...

but of course I have a 3.4L which is different.
