alright when i get my car back and all that i plan on trading it in for a m5 T-TOP car and i have heard that the birds have more factory freaks and are quicker than most camaros (stock) and i think this bird has a 3.8 in her to so that will be a plus but is there any truth to teh stuff ive been told and should i trade my maro for a bird

They were made in the same plant, same people, everthing. The only difference is the look. I'd say you're just as likely to get a dud as you are to get a "freak".

Bubble vs Bullet =) I take the bullet. When I match up with 3.8s of similar year, I see that my car has a high flow cat- theirs usually doesnt, Ive got 3.42s they've got 3.08s ( or something lower. ) stuff like that. I wouldnt say they are factory freaks there are just more of the performace stuff goes on to the racing teams cars.
It going to make no difference, and if there is any difference ist offset by 60 lbs. of headlight motors and machinery.
You could race 2 firebirds same driver and I bet you will be .1-.2 difference between the times.
A firebird may "look" more aero dynamic, but I am willing to bet a Camaro is. They have the same hegiht, and hood height. Teh difference with a Camaro is its more sleek, less things sticking out to cause more wind resistance, its more flat and smooth. And the wing design allows for less drag on a Camaro.
The only thing I've heard on the subject is that birds hook up better off the line because of there weight in the rear. Camaros tend to spin the tires a little easier giving them a less agressive launch. Just what I've heard.
When it comes to handling & speed, there is no difference in a new camaro or firebird
In the previous body style (93-97), the bird's didn't handle as well as Camaros.
When its all said & done, buy on looks and interior. The interior in the firebird is a tad better, as are the seats (hence the higher price). But that is the only real difference.

so what if a brand new 02 firebird ran the 1/4 with a brand new 02 camaro? same skilled driver, no mods, same transmissions...would they both run the same?
what about a brand new transam vs a brand new z28?
just curious...
Not much going on, replaced my Kenwood double din stereo with a Pioneer double din, the Kenwood had problems. Then replaced my power inverter for my reverse...
