Don't take it in a bad way. My brother stripped his t/a to death, and modded the hell out of it. Sure it can run a low 11 n/a but it just isn't very practical to drive anymore.

I understand this and I don't want to turn this into a silly argument but the bottom line is that I live with a person that did this to their car too so I know. My brothers car is 100% streetable too but he spends about $100 in gas a month alone. That is unpracticle. Congrats on the 13 second pass and I'll leave it at that.

Worth every penny in gas. If your car is your hobby, or you life, $100 a month ain't bad!

                  Nice run...

Is your T5 stock? Rebuit anything special done to it? I seem to have tranny troubles with 2.0 60's on street tires.

bone stock trans. and let me tell you, cutting that 1.8 was just friggen amazing. i cut a few 1.8's that day and the car just JOLTS like nothing i have ever felt before. I mean an auto just lifts, but i have never been in a manual that HOOKED before.

the only thing that makes zachs car not streetable is no front swaybar :D . it fires right up when he turns the key. wish mind did that :( . least i have a backseat and AC though

Congrats Zach, I know how it feels.

Zach's car is pretty much EXACTLY like mine exepct our transmissions differ and I have heads and he has more cam. ;)

I hope this makes it clear to everyone on the board, that if you want to go fast, you move to chicago and I show you what's up, ... but now, my young apprentice Zach can show you what's up as well because he has definately proven himself with a 13 sec NA timeslip.

I don't think you'll be able to beat it this spring because the weather is just going to get warmer, but if you did wait until the winter with the 3.8 I'm sure you'd be able to do better.

I also told Zach this on the phone but I'll add, there is no way there was 12 degrees of knock on a 98mph pass. 12 degrees of knock equates to 14 degrees pulled. If you DID see 24 normally that would put you at 10 degrees total advance WHICH would set you back AT LEAST 5mph...

and that makes me think.. zach, you probably had the retard on the hot passes which is why you could only trap 91 mph.

I know when my sensors WERE plugged in I would pick up no nock when the engine was cold.

I hope this also goes to show everyone how much potential our cars really have. It's very easy to run 13's, you just have to have a good setup and can't be afraid to do some weight reduction.

The student... has become the master.
