i got my 94 v6 firebird recently & i really suck at driving it. i think it could be a lot faster if i was better at shifting and launching. what's the best time to shift and the best way to launch?

I'd say launch at around 1800 RPMs and shift at like 5200 or something like that. 3.4's fall on their face at 4600 RPMs so don't shift too far after that.

Are you on a stock exhasut? If so I woudl consider shifting at 5200 as well...

If you are into power shifting Iw oudl shift at 5000... but that has the tendency to where out transmissions... VERY quickly.

As for the launch I think you might be able to try a little harder, jsut don't dump the clutch feather it out a little then dump it. Maybe 2500 rpms
