I got my tranny rebuilt and installed a Edge 3300 stall converter and a tranny cooler and I ran a 14.88 with a 1.93 60ft and I even spun a little bit too. does 89-90mph sound right for my car and the mods i have?? Ive seen others runnin like 93-94 with pretty much same stuff. Think weather could do this?
But 14.88 is a new best and I know it has more left in it with some decent weather and some traction. Florida is hot as h3ll!!

Might be weather, might be the converter.
They seem to produce poor mph's. I will probably get flamed for that comment but it is an honest one.
Go back to the track for several more times to see what it is. Could be just weather.
I sent out the relocation brackets today
Congrat's on new best!!

I didn't even think about the weatehr earlier when we talked, I am only about 10 minutes from the track it rained pretty hard earlier this week, there is still lots of standing water near me, and Bithlo is much worse, only about 10 minutes from the swamp. I bet you could pull some better times on a better night, even when I was on campus at 2am, it was still pretty humid out tonight.
hehe I have run 15.6s, one week, then the next week, couldn't break 16s, then the next week ran 15.6s.
Weather and track prep make a difference, maybe try agian on friday, Bithlo usually really preps the track awesome the day before a big event like the 1300 cars registered for SLP day on saturday. But peopel are going to want last minute practice so do expect 2-3 runs even if you are first in line and show up 45 minutes early. Last time I was there(race the killed my car) was the day before Fun FOrd weekend, and I showed up at 4:50, over an hour before they open the gates and there was over 150 people waiting in line already. I jsut pulled up in the left lane and managed to be the 3rd car to run. That night.
jsut before my tranny dumped I was gong once or twice a week and the left lane was seeming to grip better then the right recently may want to try that as well
Hell yeah if it was in the 50-60's with little to no humidity and you hooked i would say you could drop probably close to 2 tenths

Congrats on the good time. I'm sure if it wasn't humid out you'd have had higher mph. Hopefully I will be about where you are soon: (look in sig.) I about freaked when I read '95 in your sig, cause I thought you had a 3.4, then I saw 3.8 and thought "oh, he got one of those rare '95 3.8s!" Anyway, good time, I'm envious.

Hey Shane I was out there last night and saw you run. You have got much more left trust me. My brother and I were running also last night and both of us slowed by a full 3 tenths!!! That's not a typo either. The weather last night really stunk so don't be scratching your head to much. I was like  when I saw what I ran but everyone I was there with had the same problems. So I didn't feel to bad then. By the way my brother has a 2001 Z-28. Nice times by the way.
yea it was bad weather....i really wasnt goin for any record breaking times i just wanted to see if the tranny and converter were installed right and working properly but seems like it is if i ran a 14.88 in $hitty weather. What did u run?

I ran a 15.731@87.31mph. I was really mad when I saw how the car lowed down. I mean I lost almost a full tenth slower by 60ft. Well, I guess I can't be that mad it was bad weather but I guess I just wanted to see a little better in warmer weather. I'm really worried what I'm going to run this Saturday at SLP day. One thing that I hope for on Saturday is the consistency. I was in the 15.7s all night no matter what the temp. on the motor. I also had .528 and a .513 R/T Wednesday. You going to SLP day?
