still cant beat one camaro

there is this one camaro in my town and he is all stock except for 342 gears. by the way its a 2000 v6 auto. i have free ram air mod, 342 gears, hypertech, and flowmaster. the thing is after all this im still losing by 2 car lenthgs. his car can stall at 2600 mine only stalls at 1900. with my new 3200 stall should i be able to beat him or should i just trash the damn car lol. :mad:

Um, If he's stock, and you have mods, I don't understand why he can beat you. I was gonna say if you have a stick then you need to learn how to drive, but I assume you have an auto since you stall your car.

Is it Scott with the silver camaro? When I used to race him often, I'd always jump a length or so off the line when we raced from a dead stop. Put that TC in, and launch on him, he'll never catch you.

And camaro_speedemon, not all car are created equal, one heavily modded car might run equal to the same year and model car stock. More variables go into it than that.

And Cody, I thought when I read this title that you were already calling me out, haha, let me know when and we'll run after you get the covertor in.

yeah, come on who has a stock car that they only add 3.42s on to. Id say. U havent given us enough info. I used to beat my friends camaro in my bird same year outta the hole and hed never catch me. Is he beating u outta the hole. does he have bigger tires than u. is he running high psi in front low in rear. is he on high octane gas and u on low- or maybe even u are getting bad gas. what year is his car. Have u really inspected it to see what hes got done. Do u have a big stereo and he not. does he have a spare and u not. Are u a convertable and hes a t-top or hard top. if ur a t-top do u race with ur tops off. I mean come on, should I stop? How many miles are on ur car how many are on his, have u timed ur car. Did u get a factory dud and not know it. Does he beat people that he shouldnt or do other ppl beat u that shouldnt. Hows ur MPG ( air fuel mixture ) do u need a tune up. How are ur spark plugs. No, this is a pretty tight knit racing scene....Gears and LSD is about all he has except for FRA!, and F-Whisper!. The guy's car was pretty strong for stock.

yeah very f*cking strong... both our cars are ttops he has 10000 miles more than me. no both run 86 octane both have spare tires and he has a big system in the back. both have 5 spoke spark plugs our cars are identical. besides he drives the hell out of his car. both autos

The guys with the Y87 package can stall higher for some reason, this makes for a lot better launch.

That makes no sense at all. Different gears don't cause you to stall higher, unless Y87 cars come with a larger stall.

ive done some reasearch and its true for some reason the guys with y87 can stall higher. looks like that extra 1000 or so paid off. not only gears but maybe a little higher stall and from what i understand better suspension.
