this no belt thing is getting me curious...i think im gonna have to go somewhere and try a short run w/o it just to see if i feel a difference...if it'll pick up .2 it would be worth letting it sit for an 1.5 hrs to let it cool enough so it doesnt get too hot!!

it wont do anything if theres no water circulating!

This might be a smart move instead. Buy an electric water pump and just get a real short belt to go from the crank to the alternator. That way you won't have to worry about fuel pressure dropping and you'll still have coolant flowing.

yeah the fuel pressure thing is what worrys me the most maybe get a reall underdriven alt pully and run a belt from the crank around the water pump and to the underdriven alt and then back to the crank

that will be nice for the coolant in the radiotor to be cool, but hte coolant in the motor hot since it will not circulate.

All you need are 2 cordless drills and some ducttape. That will solve all your problems. ;)

Just remember the main things that hurt motors, heat, lack of lubrication, and over revving... I would not worry to much about the fuel pump, I dorve 20ish miles of my battery and didn't stall.(alternator cable was corroded and broke during an autocross)

i think if you let the car cool really good before a pass you will be ok...then turn the car off at the finish line and coast to the return road and put he belt back on and go to the pits...

Well, it's midnight here on the coast, making it technically April 1st. That also means it's time to let the cat out of the bag, and announce
APRIL FOOLS :D ;)
As 99 said, we hope no one took this too seriously, and for the love of God please don't make any runs without your belt in place.

Bro, we posted before april in order to announce it as april fools only after a bunch of people got interested in it. We thought the timing worked well. There are ways to make this work, but it's not that great an idea for anyone to do. There are better ways to squeeze ponies out of a block without the risks of extra heat or lack of fuel. ;)
Personally, I'm kinda surprised no one just called it as because our numbers didn't add up.
