• running open manifolds..

well i finally hit my goal of 12's and now i want to go faster. when i was the the track, i gained 3mph from opening my cut-out and suffered 0 loseof lowend torque.. since money is tight and i still have the stock manifolds, i'm thinking of running open mainfolds. i know it will be loud as hell, but i don't care... i really wanna get my trapp speed up. you guys think this will work..

on stock manifolds the o2 sensor is too close to the open manifold.. even with headers you wouldn't have enough extension and your O2 readings would be off..

You could fab up a 12" extension pipe that would help.

hmm. good thinkin keith.. yea from now on, the cut-stay's open at the track.. when i ran my 14.5 n/a the cap was closed. i bet i could have got a better time with it open.. that stock y-pipe is hella restrictive and i hate it... pacesetter needs to hurry up with this headers..

IF you are spraying sure go for it... you have the flow an power...

N/A I guess you can try it but it DEFINITELY kills my low end. Only way to see is try I figured you were running 02 simms...

and there is a big difference then aq cutou furhter back and an open y-pipe.

I noticed a difference from a open y-pie to cutout, in front of the CAT.

i can't run open-y due to my cat being welded the pipe. maybe i'll going to my exhaust shop and get a custom setup where i can run open-y cause i think that will really help me out

I think you could fix that y-pipe problem with a sawzaw, and a 2.5in. in line adapter and 2 clamps
