Went to Byron dragstrip today and got some new best times. I was able to get 9 runs in and they were all pretty consistent. Heres the slip for the best one:

R/T....951
60'....2.150
330....5.891
1/8....8.997
MPH....77.32
1000...11.723
1/4....14.010
MPH....99.70

I raced a mustang gt, 95 body style I think and lost to his 13.914. After the race he asked me what year my car was. I told him 97 3.8 v6. The look on his face was priceless He said he wasn't sure what year my car was becasue of my gfx and hood. He thought he had beat an lt1 or ls1.

Race was done with subwoofer in the car still. I know I could have had a 13 second slip if I did a little weight reduction. Very happy with the results I have gotten with the powerdyne supercharger so far!

Temp. was 32 and traction was very poor. I also raced a third gen z28 and beat his 14.4. Best time I have had at the track so far! :D

Way to go So I guess the powerdyne does give you the same amount of power as the lt1 Not too shabby! I would rather buy a 3.8 new for 17k then buy a 24k lt1 24-17=7 thats 7k for mods to run quicker than an lt1 with insurance for a 6.

Like I said good job

edit: how many #of boost were you running??

A solid 9lbs w/ the 6 pound pulley. I am sure that with a better 60ft I would have been in the high 13's. I spun through most of first because of the cold weather.

Great run!!! Were you consistant with the 9psi? That's awesome. Just practice some more on those launches and you'll be in the 13 with no problem.

I hope to run mine someday but living in S. Cali. is loosy, extremely dry weather that feels like summer in the winter. The nearest track is 30 mi. away and its a poor track because even the LS1 are running low 14. It's that track they used in the movie Fast and Furious (desert)

What's your other mods beside the blower?

Congrats.

Hey thanks for all of the compliments!

Mods to the car are:
6lb powerdyne
3.42 gear/lsd
shift kit/vette servo
lcas
panhard bar
stb
alum. driveshaft
rk sport headers/3 inch cat/2.5 inch rhino muffler
FMU & boost-a-pump

Mighty Thor: I was very consistent w/ the 9lbs of boost. I am able to get my belt very tight and added some belt dressing.

12secondv6: I am very interested in getting a converter soon! Prob. go with a 3200 stall. My only concern is that I am shifting into 4th right before the end of the track. My speedo is off due to the gear swap and I am very close to hitting the top end limiter. I think I will have to get the computer re-programed before anymore go-fast parts go on.

you would have hit 13's easily if the track was gripping...i went with my friend who had the 99 red SS with the black 3 inch SS hood...he couldnt grip at all, hisbest 60' was a 2.0, which sucks for his car......definately get in touch before you go again

my best was a 15.1 @ 92, i was impresses considering i only have a muffler...your bird looks pretty badass too with the hood and gfx

Bird_of_Prey- No prob. I would love to meet up at the track sometime. I would be more then happy to help if you had any questions about my setup.

Mirsgtp- How about you can pay for MY lunch :D

Shirl- Your car is what inspired me to get the powerdyne! Thanks for the compliments!

Naptown-thanks for the link. I have to do that next because shifting into 4th before the end of the track is hurting my times still.

Stangsmoker- That red ss looked sweet! What did his car run?
