• More near stock times but not as bad as you would think

So i went back to the track today with the same mods as i had before (a dynomax superturbo muffler) and ran a new best. I actually learned how to launch my car perfectly today and i dont think this time is bad at alllll for a basically stock 2000 v6 firebird:

R/T - .893
60' - 2.152
330 - 6.267
1/8 - 9.672 (not my quickest of the day)
mph - 72.42
1000 - 12.617
1/4 - 15.112
mph - 92.28

so what do u guys think?

I just cannot belive that you got a 3.8 and do a 15.1 with only a FRIGGIN MUFFLER! You must be like 5lbs and have your car gutted! Im not tring to piss on your parade but I just cant let it get through to my ego that you ran a 15.1 with a muffler.

If he has 3.42s, it very believable. Stangsmoker, what rpms did you launch at? Your car is a manual right?

i definately have 3.42's and no, my car is automatic but i was brake torqueing anywhere between 1000 to 1300 rpms on that run...not sure exactly where, probably around 1200...i just hooked right away and took off...the cold weather helped too even though my car kept running worse times as i went on throughout the day even though i never ran higher than a 15.3

I thought you had a manual, because of your trap speed. The weather and sealevel must be nice up there in Chicago. Trapping 92 mph in an automatic is damn good for a near stock car. I have trouble trapping out at 90, sometimes 89.

I still find that to be awesome, but also hard to believe. What's your secret?

I saw your car run. You had a great mph and from the times I saw you were in the low 15's all day. We will have to meet up next time we head to the track! Your car looked sweet! I still like the black ones the best. Nice times
