• What can this thing run?(3.8L)

Street tires, 3.23s, open diff, 5-speed 2000 3.8L.

above average driver, especially with a 5-speed.

it has run...

60' 2.502
330 7.044
1/8 10.643
mph 68.33
1000 13.719
1/4 16.288
mph 87.95

60' 2.601
330 7.152
1/8 10.707
mph 69.15
1000 13.745
1/4 16.290
mph 88.71

60' 2.347
330 6.686
1/8 10.253
mph 68.91
1000 13.313
1/4 15.875
mph 88.25

YOu think if I could dead hook a 2.2 60', work the shift points a little better(some room for imporvement) I could hit a 15.4@88.XX?

I wish I could say I knew the answer. I am good driver with a 5 speed myself. I seem to be having a problem with that hook up though. My best is 15.6 secs @ 90mph. I hope you can deadhook it up. I would like to see a perfect run, versus my terrible launches right now.

I ran a 15.2 and I've got stock exhaust :D

You can do better in cooler weather, with a better launch, and FAR cooler engine temps. 160-170 if you can manage it.

I think I cna definetely bring tht 1.8th mile down... never got a good launch that night, I ran that in 2001 in my dad's car.

MY clutch crapped out on my 3.4L on my way down ot ft. lauderdale, my dad let me take his car back up so naturally I took it to Orlando speed world I coudl not get a good launch, I was not used to the clutch being so loose and where it caught, I was launching it like my car where the clutch caught much further out. The mph seems kinda good, but the runs were bad, and engien temps were horrible I coudl not get the damn car to cool like I could my 3.4L.

I was just wondeirng since that car might end up being mine.

when I ran it the car had 7k, now it has 20k.
