• how consistent are you? what is a 'good run?' (new best)

last night, i went to the track to play with my car, after new exhaust, and everything finally running totally correctly, to see how this season would unfold.
first three runs were nice 15.02, 15.02, 15.001.
then cut out with a new best of....
60' 2.161
1/8 9.585 @ 73.00
1/4 14.906 @ 92.56

also ran a 14.987 right after that.

my question is, what's a GOOD run from consitent? ever sincee i've been running more consistently, i'm ALWAYS running 15.0 unless I really F it up on the launch, or miss a gear, or clog the cat (lol)...

is something outstanding 1 tenth, 2 tenth better, what? I'm gettin frustrated because my launch is no longer hook and go to get a 2.1x with the open rear, but a 'spin and bog' to get 2.1x with the LSD.

i'm happy i got a new best, but also disappointed that 15.0's are consistent, and i'm always knocking at lower times, just never really getting there...oh well.

I once hit 15.661 twice in teh same night

depends, on how my car is running, its got some goofy stuff, but if it runs 16.2s, 15.6s, I stay within a 1/10th or so maybe get a little faster longer the sun has been down.

its hard to make my car repeat w/in a few hundreths...i lower the starting line launch RPMs to bog the motor and hopefully get more consistent 60 foots but a slight higher or lower launch RPM makes a big difference, i know if i got some DR's i could be a lot more consistent but i dont wanna burn my clutch up...if i could run w/in .05 id be pretty happy but its more like .1-.15, makes it really hard to dial the car when bracket racing...
