  • Times from my outing w/ Shirl

    Temp was between 60-63 degree's
    Absol Barom was 30.79- 30.77
Humidity was VERY high due to rain at the end of the night.

Traction was the poorest I have ever come across.
Their water box was a joke.
Do they know what VHT is???
I don't think I could have hooked N/A at this track.

Both shirl and I skated down the track. We both had skinnies and bf drag's.

    First run:
    Skinnies 41 psi
    BF drag's 16.5 psi.
    r/t.....1.379 Damn pro tree crap!!!
    60......1.822
    330.....5.215
    1/8.....8.114
    mph.....84.53
    1000....10.648
    1/4.....12.833
    mph.....102.50
    I spun like a fool!!!
Check engine light, Cylinder 6 missfire, car died top end :( Boost a pump turned up to 50%

I pulled the bird back in the pits and shut it off and hung out w/ shirl and her b/f. By the way, her b/f is a really cool guy!!! I forget his name but shirl, say hi for me :D

I eventually decided on making another pass. This time I dissconnected the boost a pump completely.

    r/t.....876 damn pro tree!!!
    60......1.786
    330.....5.233
    1/8.....8.119
    mph.....85.42
    1000....10.600
    1/4.....12.702
    mph.....107.07

On the launch I thought I was going to end up in the stands. The nose rised hard, tires spun, as I came down I was facing the stands :( I had to counter steer and w/ manual steering that sucks!!!
I spun even more this time!!! The bird felt VERY strong top end. I ended up passing the end in overdrive :( No check engine light. It just pulled and pulled!!! I felt much happier now.

    Last run of the night:
    r/t.....964 damn pro tree crap!!!
    60......1.856
    330.....5.338
    1/8.....8.263
    mph.....84.00
    1000....10.783
    1/4.....12.909
    mph.....105.97

    I spun EVEN more!!!!

Basically this was a piss poor track. 1/2 mile drive in on a dirt road. NO track prep evident anywhere. The person manning the launch area was some snot nosed kid who looked like he had never done this before.

I will NEVEr race at this track again!!!

Both shirl and I spun like crazy!!!!
    We both need et streets!
    We both need tuning!!

My air/fuel ratio guage was pinned at rich!!

I won't have a chance to redyno tune the bird before ais :(

I was there on friday night in my black '89 Turbo Grand Prix and you're right that is was a joke, but I guess they have to save money somewhere when it's only $7 to race. I managed a 2.2 60' on my first run, but only got 2.3s on my other two runs before I called it quits. I managed a best of a 14.9 on my first run, which I was happy with as it's the first time that I had this TGP out.

12secondV6, I saw your silver bird with the black hood and I was walking up to say 'hi' when you were behind the concessions stand, but you pulled away and went over the bridge. Anyways, it was cool to see a couple of 12 second 3800s, and keep up the good work!! :D

uh oh... Tell me more about this... I'm about to put my boost-a-pump on... (well, maybe, I've been saying that for months)

But seriously, is it turning out to be a problem in your case?

Are you still running the stock pump?

I don't want to fool with putting the bap on, if it's going to be worse with it than without it.
