• 12.41@112 in the fairly stock LS1 Conversion

It was my first time at the track with the new engine.... first pass I ran 12.5@112 and was like, hell yea!

I had 1 more 12.5 pas then 5 12.4 passes. Here's the best run:

1.848 60'
8.024@88.08 1/8
12.417@112.51 1/4

This is with a junk yard motor trans just dropped into the car.. the only thing I did to it was
Added:
160 thermo
poly motor mounts
K&N FIPK
Removed:
EGR, AIR Pump, EVAP, A/C

I'd say that's pretty damn good for a stock engine/tranny/converter/manifolds/cats LS1.

I need 1.2 seconds to get the fastest stock internal NA LS1 record... so with these mods, I think its VERY doable:
Throttle Body
LS6 Intake
Pulley
Long Tubes
PT4400
Slicks

:D

Does it still count with the LS6 intake? Just warning I could see some people argue that., nice runs though...

I saw put a forget the intake and put a higher stall verter in there, and I assume you have most aftermarket suspension stuff still on your car right?

LS6 intake counts.

QTP LT's are on order.
YPT4400 is on order, should be picked up this week.

Stock V6 suspension up front, no swap bar.
Rear stock V6 shocks, BMR LCA's, WS6 Take-off shocks.

Maybe youve found the secret to a fast Ls1, Ls1 motor and v6 suspension components Dude that freaky you run that good, you should be maybe hitting 12's with that, not 12.4, badd-azz dude youve found a secret somewhere.

I was hoping for 12.8's@110 at least...

12.4's.. bad *** .. 112mph even cooler.

I was pulling a lot of LS1's on the big end. That felt really good.

Thanks guys.

BTW, I'm still struttin the Firebirdv6 banner and damn proud of it!!!

AHve ya considered a torque arm? I think the beauty of the hard as launch with no spin makes for a lack of hp at tiems.

Nice times though...

Not so sure if its ls1 with v6 suspension maybe ls1 in light car

Torque arm might be one of the things i need to do. :(

Probably the weight reduction and great flowing intake. The K&N FIPK works REALLY well with the predator hood.

is there much weight difference in the front ends when they changed them because the motor "wouldnt" fit Sorry i still laugh when i read the gm press letter saying they changed the front end cause the motor wouldnt fit. I can see amybe the 98+ camaro front end weighing more casue of the light assembly and the slightly largers panels But im not sure about the firebird.

Yeah, no kidding thats what I was about to say. I think you need to do a little bit more reaserch on this. I've been to HRP a couple of times and seen some NA LS1's in the 10s.

Don't quote me on this but I think that the fastest LS1 NA times are in the low 10's-high 9's.

Either way those are some pretty mean times for a fairly stock LS1.

Good call, I didn't catch that. In that case 11.3 I guess sounds about right. Okay then.

11.3 still sounds slow to me, unless....

You count heads as "internals", which you shouldn’t.

And there are no other LS1s doing the weight reduction thing.

I know LS1s with a Head/cam that are full bodied street cars not even set up to drag are in the 11.30s and lower. (yeah yeah I know a cam is internal)

Either way congratulation, but I think that 1.3sec is going to be pretty hard to get.
I have made a lot of money in my life, most of which I spent on cars and women.<p>The rest I have blown.
