I think it was the "SAM" (school of automotive mechanics) camaro that ran a 10.90 or maybe a little faster on a stock short block, which to me is stock internals.
I have made a lot of money in my life, most of which I spent on cars and women.<p>The rest I have blown.
Just wondering, does fastest "stock" LS1 have to mean that it wasn't swapped into a car that didn't come with that motor? How's it feel compared to the 6? Looks like you had more low end with the juiced 6 and the 8 has more up top cuz of the 112mph. Nice ET.
Stock internals in LS1 world means stock heads/cam.
Shirl, I'm not sure if my 97 will count but it should damnit. I have a stock converter in the V8 and was still able to almost match my V6 convertered NA 60's... but on the juice the V6 was quicker for the 60'. When I put a converter in this car though I'm expecting low 1.5 60's.
The LS1 feels SOOOO SOO SOO much better thant he V6. Sure, the 12.3 V6 pass is quicker than the current best in the LS1.. but the MPH really makes a difference in how it feels. I get this power ALL the time, I don't have to have a full bottle.. Plus there isn't that much abuse on the engine either.
I highly recomend an LS1 swap for those of you who just need more RAW power and that deep V8 sound. Highway pulling/passing power is now unreal.
With my big nittos on the street, first gear is USELESS.. I expect first and second to be useless with the new verter.
Here is my ricer math for the 1.2 seconds.
Pulley is worth a solid tenth.
Intake/TB should be worth at LEAST a tenth.
Converter/LT combo should be worth a full second.
I can do it.

Damn, I thought that was good, but I guess not.
if u still can't get it w/ that combo, look at new driveshaft, gears, ignition, programming, and mroe weight reduction. Ur saying traction will be a prob, do SFC's and torque arm.

Jason, the top dawg NA stock internal LS1's have around a 3200 race weight. V6 bird was running 3.23 gears as well in his stock 10 bolt.
I won't have the 4.10's in when I'm launching the 4400 on slicks although BradWS6, local club member here, has cut 1.5's on 4.10's in a 10 bolt many times if I recall correctly.
I'm not sure how much 4.10's were worth, Pro Stock John was saying they were actually worth about .2 and 2mph on a stock LS1.
I know its not a super low ET but I was definately pulling past many LS1's at the track. Most stock LS1's were running low 13's at about 107.. The weight reduction and gear is what makes my car so fast though, well that and the great flowing intake.
I was running open y-pipe. As soon as I get my QTP headers, I'll run an X pipe but not sure what mufflers to go with. I want the car to be SOME what quiet. It's hard to carry a conversation in the car now with no muffler and the gear whine.

I hear spintech's are nice, or if ur worried about backpressure, just run a pair or 2 of resonators back. also, if the exhaust dumps out behind the car, it'll sound quieter, cuz the noise will be farther back, unlike open headers underneath ur seats.
