I just put my new motor to the test tonight in the eigth mile. It has ported heads and Intake, both are port matched, a 206 212 108ic 112ls comp cam rksports headers, 3 inch exhaust, 3.73's, 2800 stall converter, trans go shift kit, 30 lb injectors with rksports ram air. The best 60ft time I could pull was 2.145, reaction was .561 on a 500 tree with an et of 9.43 at 74 mph. I have the nitto drag radials, but only an open rearend. I let the pressure down to 15lbs and still spun like crazy. Does anyone know how to help me get a quicker 60ft?

Get LSD! That helps so much. I had to relearn how to drive at the track because I was able to launch much harder. Also I here lower control arms help a lot to. With LSD, 3.73's, torque converter, and nitto's you should be pulling great 60' times. Just get some power to that other wheel and you'll be fine.1994 Chevrolet Camaro 3.4L A4 (160hp 200tq)
2006 Nissan 350Z 3.5L M6 (300hp 260tq)

LSD should be the first thing you get, you are only using one of your 2 drag radials
also what size rims do you have? I woudl use your stock 16 in. rims not some fancy heavy 17 in ones.
basically the list of stuff to do in my opinion and expereince.
Cheap stuff...
-tranny mount(I reccomend 1LE over poly)
-poly torque arm bushing(***** to install
-(not track proven, but i recently put on a 3rd gen f-body torque arm(off an 88 Camaro) and it feels stornger, it weighs mroe is thicker, and does not have "holes" in it. Only cost me $10 at a junk yard, having it pulled for me. But you can use a 2-piece driveshaft with it(you should upgrade to a 1 piece anyways)
Mid range price...
-lower control arms, if its a drag only(non-autocross or road racer) get tubular steel ones with poly bushings. If you are looking to road race/autocross(not sure with a converter though) get rubber bushings.
-Panhard rod, same things with the bushings.
-Stock v6 springs are fine for launching, but if you put lowering springs on your car get relocation brackets.
higher priced stuff...
-Aftermarket torque arm
-bigger rear sway bar w/bushings

LSD-spins both tires, twice as much traction means u can get much harder launches.
LCA's-will prevent wheel hop off the line, keeps power to the ground.
bigger rear swaybar-prevents rear end twist off the line, keeps both tires planted
poly trans mount-prevents flex off the tranny, allowing power to get to the rear easier
1 piece driveshaft-less parasitic loss of power, and quicker rev up time, also safer and less chance to break
also, how'd u get 30 lb. injectors in ur car? did u get custom tuning? Did they go in there w/o an ses light?2001 Arctic White Firebird
More mods than I\'m allowed to list!

I forgot to mention my slp reinforced lca's w/ poly bushings, and yes I did have my pcm custom tuned. I have heard that removing your front swat bar helps too, I'm ordering my lsd today. Can someone put this in, in a driveway or does it have to go to a shop?

depends on your mechanical ability its no cinch, but many have done it.
I forgot about the front sway doens't help that much but it does, you cna jsut unyook the endlinks, or remove the weight if you want, main thing is unhook the endlinks, allows better wiehgt transfer.
and general concensus here is battery moving is a waste of time on our cars, too many prolblems added weight and no real gains.

went to the track again tonight, this time with the lsd in and I'm still no better, no i'm spinning both tires. The conditions were (15psi) in nitto drag radials, lsd was in, lower reinforced slp control arms, 2600 stall converter, heated tires up for 30 sec or so till smoke was rolling off, launched at 1100 and 2000 rpms, my best 60' was 2.111 but I redlighted by .042. All others were in the 2.15-2.3 realm I really need some insight on how to lower this under 2.0 I know my car can do it but i'm holding it back. Are you heating up the tires?
If you drive on them(like 60 miles to the track) it may take 3-5 burnouts and runs until they start getting sticky.Keith - 99 'maro - White M5 - bumpstick and boltons - 13.65 @ 101 N/A
