How much is a zex torsen LSD? How hard is it to install? I put on pacesetter headers by myself, is the LSD install more or less of a pain in the a$$ than that? As far a drag radials, my friend has a 79 chevy drag truck he isn't racing. the rear wheel bolt pattern will fit my camaro, but his M/T's are about 20 inches wide. will those huge wheels cause damage to my rear end? Will they even fit? I guess i could stop being lazy and see for myself.

Don't be surprised if the mph drops a little once you start hooking.

        Wouldn't spinning lower the MPH?

It depends on how much in each area. If, when you hit the gas and its nothing but smoke for 60 feet, your MPH will be low.

Now if you have way to much traction for the car and when you mash the gas you bog down and lug through first gear, your MPH will be slow.

The best setup is to have just a few rotations of the tires when you launch. That way you aren't wasting it by not making traction, and the fact that you can spin them just slightly means you are putting as much power down to the ground as you can.

              Go4broke-

I race at the Witchita international raceway. I didn't really like the track though. If there is a drag strip in kansas city I will come race you. I also do autocross here in salina. We have one of the most kicka$$ courses in the midwest.

What tires do you have now?

I woudl look into some LCAs, maybe a panhard bar, if you have lots of money coudl go all out and get an aftermaket torque arm or jsut a poly bushing for your stock torque arm. But I woudl DEFINITELY get Limited slip, doubles your tire-ground area since 2 tires are working instead of one.

Do you still have a 2 piece driveshaft? if so you may want to repalce that with a 1-piece you are putting down some power might get dangerious with a crappy 2-piece.

Hey man, I ran at WIR about two weeks ago and something is up with that track. I ran a 16.1 @ 85 mph with a 60' 2.4. Compared to other stock GSR's I should at least be in the 15.6- 15.7, even if I am a crappy driver. A lot of people said their cars ran slower like mine was. I think something is up with the track. Just my .02.

P.S. I'm really interested in the Auto X events. I think I'm gonna attend the one in the Boeing parking lot in July. Will you be there?

That 2.3 is not surprising given that you have an open rearend.

I'd swap in a posi and a bigger converter and go run some high 12's.

The boeing event is in wichita right? when is it? I have never raced there before, but I will drive down and try it out. I will get some info on it from my regional director. Email me if you are going to attend. (malice10985@yahoo.com)

Yeah it's here in Wichita. I've never done it before so I'm a newbie at it. All I know is that they setup a course in Boeing's parking lot.

There is a drag stip called KCIR you take 470 west to 350hwy exit 7b I believe, then you take a right on Noland rd. and about 4 tenths of a mile down is kcir You turn right onto the strip of road that leads to the track.
