Well, I put everything on my car I planned to. Slicks, headers, 100 shot, etc.
Previous best was a 14.7 with a 2.2 60' on street tires, spraying an 85 shot from 2nd gear on.
First, on the way to work the SES light came on, O2 sensor. So AT THE TRACK (had to hurry after work to get in before tech closed) I changed out both oxygen sensors on the y pipe (each bank). Then I had to reset the PCM. (This may have been BAD for racing).
1st run, did a water burnout on the Nittos, not too long, staged last, lights went to fast, didn't get to rev the car to my usual 3000 RPMS, nearly stalled, then started, spray 100 shot most of the way down the track no prob, but only a 14.7 with a 2.3 60ft.
2nd run, did a water burnout, revved to 3000 RPMS, and SPUN like crazy. Shifted into 2nd almost right off the line, 100 shot worked, but started cutting out. (Even with the walbro pump.)
2.3 60' again, 14.4 this time.
I KNOW THIS CAR CAN HIT A 13.8 or even less. I should be able to hit at LEAST a 2.0 60'.
I need to practice the launch. Its HARD to get it just right.
Nitrous is PISSING ME OFF!!!! I got a new pump, handled the 85 shot fine. handled the 100 shot fine, untill I got to the track , then it went crazy on me. Its a NOS dry kit. Maybe I need a bigger fuel jet???
