Cecil County Dragway

I am in PA and just found out about Cecil County Dragway. It looks like they have test & tune Wednesdays and grudge racing on Fridays. Anyone out there run at CC? Can anybody run either of these days? I am interested in bracket racing, how would I get involved in that?

i'm not sure about bracket racing. everytime i've gone its just been grudge racing style. i plan on going sometime soon to get some times with my new setup. overall though its a pretty good track. i believe last season it was the number 1 track in the country. so take that for what its worth.

Thats the only track that I have ever gone to. Its a nice track but gets a LOT of attention becuase of its good reputation.

The only problem is, no matter when you go there you are hardly ever going to get to make a lot of runs. I went 2 weeks ago to the Wednesday Test and Tune and I only got to make 3 runs in 6 hours. Thats about a run every 2 hours and I attribute that to poor organization. The Gamblers get priority on Wednesday nights, so the rest of the world has to wait till they run ALL the gamblers which can take a long time. It takes all the fun out is racing when you have to wait that long.

Last year I went to Cecil abour 3 times on Wednesdays and sometimes its bad and sometimes its pretty good. I have made up to 10 runs in 2 hours and as low as 2 runs in 6 hours, I'll tell you are not going to learn the track in 2 runs.

I think I'm going to try going on a Saturday, sure it cost 3X as much but I've heard that the track prep is a lot better and there is less rice around and LESS crowed.

Sorry, I am still a little bitter about last time I went there.

BTW- Anybody can run Wednesday, Friday, or Saturday, as long as you pass the tech inspection. Remeber also to wear long pants and closed toed shoes, they are required.

I think that Bracket Racing is only on Sundays, I've never tried that so you'd have to look into it yourself. They have a very nice website. http://www.cecilcountydragway.com/
