Right now I have the 16" chrome plated stock wheels but I want to go bigger, especially in the back (too much wheel well showing), how big could I go without hurting performance? I heard from some where that even 18s are too big! I wanted to get the Y2K Vette wheels and I think they're 17s in the front and 18s in the back. If it works for the Vette why wouldn't it work for my car? I don't see how 18s could be that much heavier that it'd make a difference. Also with tires, I was looking into some drag radials. Any suggestions about what looks hot but doesn't hurt your times at the track? Sorry for all the n00b track questions, this will be my first time running ever, just wanna make sure I don't buy too much bling bling that it slows me down

If that is all you are worried about, why not just lower the back?

is's weight plus its rotating mass, just my rear 16's on with my 18's up front knocks of .3 in the 1/4 mile. my stock rims weigh 40lbs and my 18's weigh in at 51 lbs, so with all of the on I have 44 extra pounds of rotating mass.get 18's its worth it for the looks, and either way you will still have wheel gap unless you get like 275/60/18's or 275/55/17 or something with a big side wall.2005 Cavalier LS Sport M5
http://members.cardomain.com/firefighter8615
