Another idea hath crossed my mind.

I recently installed a zexel torsen and I got my hands on some mickey thompson drag radials, which are about 15 inches wide( yes, I did test fit them, and they DO fit). With all this new found grip, can I start spraying right off the line?

I thought about holding the rpm at 3100 before lauch and starting my spray as soon as the clutch is fully engaged, assuming there is no wheel spin.

Is this a safe practice considering I have a stock clutch with 9000 miles on it?

Post your lauch techniques and tell me if I can start spraying really early like this or if I should wait till I get the pass stabilized.

Do you have any suspension work?

If you heat them up good either you'll cut a 1.6 60' or smoke the clutch.

not knowing what gears you have makes a diff. I was launching a 3500 w/ 3.23's and that was the most my clutch would hold. I launch at 3k w/ 3.73's now. But this was NA and on nittos.

The car is lowered 2" right now, but I am going to put the stock rear springs in tonite. So no, I do not have any suspension work.

        I have a 5 speed with stock 3.23 gears.

No suspension work + Nitrous off the line = roasted tires IMO.

You have a lot of tire but... I think you will still overwhelm your suspension enough to break them loose.

Upgrade you LCAs and tourque arm and you should be able to hook.

Then again I dont have nitrous or DRs'
