I'm going to the track next week with my 3.4 Firebird and i want to know what a stock Firebird runs in the 1/4th mile. I'm a good shifter so whats the best time.

if you can launch it right, and are a good shifter like you say and the weather isnt too bad, then i'd say a 16.7ish

That's not that bad of a run for a stock firebird. It might be alittle higher of a time with my 18's. Would my flowmaster's (80 series) lower that any? Also, what rpm do you hold on launch?

I ran mid 16's with a muffler and cai, but my car is auto. An exhaust upgrade will lower the time a bit and will also give the car a more pleasing sound. I saw a stock 3.4 auto run last time at the track and he was in the high 17's-low 18's. Sad really. I don't think that car was in very good mechanical condition, but it look nice.

I had nothing but a single outlet flowmaster muffler ran 16.8s to 17s in the car.

Then added some bolt ons and learned to drive better.
