  • Going to the track tonight. Hoping to run 14s.

Well I'm finally off to get some more runs in tonight. Should hopefully be around 70 degrees. Last time I made the run in the sig with a leaky intake where I ghetto rigged the air silencer (fixed now.) and worn tires. I've got new Potenza RE950s so hopefully I can take more advantage of my 3000 stall. I will update this thread after I get back from the track. Later.

with that stall you need some drag radials.
6s.......under the hood or under the belt, they just dont cut it.

Good luck.....I am also running tonight. we seem to be running the same numbers. I am also looking for 14's with the additional tricks I have done. Still running the stock stall though. We will swap numbers if we do indeed get to the track tonight.

NO KIDDING I need some drag radials. I couldn't get traction all night. I made 7 passes, best was 15.9 with a 2.3 '60, going sideways on the launch. That's pretty much how it was, every single run I got crap for traction. Even launched at 2500 (which dead-hooked last time) and it spun 20 ft. Temperature was 80+, humidity has been 59% the whole day, it's 59% as I'm typing this. Bad conditions + bad track prep = high et for me.

Radcat, feel lucky you didn't go. Humidity was 59%, I didn't see any GNs out there, bad night for turbo cars.

It was disapointing evening for me too......I had no choice but to try to put down numbers before the f-body event next week....I got one run in before they cancelled due to rain.......again!!!!

It was 80% humidity when I got there and 93% when I finally got to run...UGH!!!

                    Anyways....My only run turned 15.56 @ 88.21 MPH's...

Based on how bad the car ran, with better conditions and what I have done to her recently the 14 number is there....

Well It turned what it turned and I will be one of many representing the v6 community come the 16th.

Merlin, how was the prep at your track, any traction problems? It's so frustrating to be running 15s when you know your car has a 14 in it!

You aint lying.... I run my blown car in 80 degree weather. Yea it dose suck knowin you got a 14 sec car and only turnin mid to low 15's. Well all get there though. Good luck guys.... Remember, low 15's are faster then some 5.0's so it could be worse. Hehe
