yep agreed. I ran at a 1/8th track that was horrible...spun sideways to a 2.667 60' and I still trapped 10.4@70.6 at the 1/8th..best 1/8th in sig with a 2.1 so he is right with that.

...and slowcamaro96 you're stalling the car up to high. I only launch at around 1600rpms even tho I can stall higher...I won't get traction at higher stalls.

I hear ya...I know I'm fine for topend against an 5-speed tho. I go from 71ish to just a hair under 89. That's an 18mph gain...which most guys make from the 1/8th to the 1/4 anyways.

      Topend I'll win. 3.42 X 1.00 and the manual has a 3.23 X 1.00. :D Just let's go from a 50 roll.

you only trap 71 in the 1/8th? ouch.

Just remember a manual has 1 more gear ;) and that means a LOT

I raced Nachius at the track a while back. I bogged and he nailed the launch. I was probably 3 cars back at the 1/8th and had him by a solid car or more at the back end. he has an auto, i dont :D

2nd gear the car dropps to like 3200rpms...way too low if you ask me! This car accomplishes two things...

1.) Decimating all...even M5 guys off the line
        2.) Running from a 55ish roll to 118 I'll beat you I guarantee it

BTW I'll be going to the track hopefully in two weeks...car is running stronger than ever...heh maybe I"ll trap 72 now on the 1/8th!!

As for gearing...your 2nd gear is shorter than mine and your 3rd is steeper than my second...I'm just in the middle of those two...

as for fourth gear for you (3rd for me) I have the better gearing for topend acceleration...3.42:1 instead of 3:23:1

My trap speed has been from 88-88.5 mph bone stock. I guess that means I just can't drive and need to practice more?

He's right, from a 60 roll, we were even...

All be it we only had one run. I still say if we had a better run, I woulda beat ya ;) Third gear in my car is crap...I don't start pulling good until about 85+ then I have to shift at 90, 4th gear on my car pulls MUCH harder than 3rd.

bring it! Oh and let's not forget how I gave you the jump from a 5mph roll and still pulled 1/4 on you to the top of first. :D Topend you would not have caught me. I'm sure I would have started pulling on you. 85+ car pulls STRONG. You shifting to fourth you'd have a steeper gear than me at that point.

Oh and James...I'll use my roommates car for the 50 roll ok? Just a "lightly" modded SS.

So you think launching at 2500 is too high??? What should I launch at? 2.3 not good 60' for stock? And what is up with the trap speed? I can only trap 86??? Ne1???

what i was saying bro, is a iv'e seen a lot of auto's trapping 73-74 mph 1/8th. not trying to dog you. hey 1mph makes a LOT of difference.

when you shift 2-3 and 3-4, what mph are you at?
i'm at ~61 and ~93 for each shift. where in the rpm range you land? i land around 3800 and 42-4300

not the auto v6 f-bodies...go look on the time slips page. Every automatic with a similar ET to a manual traps a few MPH lower across the board. The reason for this isn't that the topend sucks but because the car lacks power from 40-55ish.

                          BLUE...nice trap speed I'm impressed.
