So you think launching at 2500 is too high??? What should I launch at? 2.3 not good 60' for stock? And what is up with the trap speed? I can only trap 86??? Ne1???

My car cuts loose at 2500? about 2k is good

not the auto v6 f-bodies...go look on the time slips page. Every automatic with a similar ET to a manual traps a few MPH lower across the board. The reason for this isn't that the topend sucks but because the car lacks power from 40-55ish.

No the reason is that 3rd gear in the manual pimp-slaps 3rd in the auto, even if you have 3.42's. The manual's 1.41:1 3rd gear gives them a significant torque multiplication advantage.

BTW, I have not felt this mystical powerloss from 40-55. I do however notice my car drop in acceleration fairly significantly when it hits 78 and shifts into 3rd.

agreed but how do you explain the low 1/8th MPH traps that some of the A4s get like only 69ish stock on the 1/8th? I feel that shifting into third it dies too but that's after the 1/8th. My car does pick up strong again after 85 tho I must say.

Your 3rd is a gear I'm missing. Shift into 4th at 90ish (I think that's where it goes on the M5) and you're matched against my 3.42:1 gear and you have a 3.23:1 gear. :D See ya later biatch. lol
