Speed
THey are running forced induction and boost. Shirl is really tho only one doing that and she still has a sotck converter and limited suspension.
Also they have more turboed cars which seem to be putting up good numbers.

Forced induction and boost doesn't mean crap man. It's still HP. You can obtain it all from nitrous or all from an SC or all from the turbo and its still just HP.
We could easily do it with a huge shot of nitrous.
Problem is, nobody is hard core enough. Nobody knows how to hook their car when they are used to cutting 2.0 60's. We just aren't extreme enough.
We could run 10's on an L36 block with enough nitrous. But, oh well.
Our cars are far superior to the V6 stangs AND the GTP's, yet we are behind both.Keith - Chicago
HP Tuners - PCM Reprogramming
97 Firebird V6 to LS1 swap
V8 9.967@132.78 1.322 60\' NA Heads/Cam
V8 10.295@128.48 1.363 60\' NA Cam Only
V8 10.987@119.31 1.422 60\' NA Stock Internals
V6 13.674@98.22 NA
V6 12.394@104.91 N20 100HP

well, all our 'hard core guys' are too hard core, they all traded up for the obviously superior motor  hard core.
edit: keith you wanna finance me i'll be more hard core than your favorite adult movie. but until then, go easy on us guys with lack of funds.

Dude, my car was the extreme budget car.
For my nitrous time:
My nitrous kit was 300 used.
My wheels & tired: bout 800 but you can borrow a full set from a friend.
My verter: 300 used
Header: 300
Intake: 200
It was just a basic bolton car. That's it.
Its not how much $$$ you put into it, its how you set it up.Keith - Chicago
HP Tuners - PCM Reprogramming
97 Firebird V6 to LS1 swap
V8 9.967@132.78 1.322 60\' NA Heads/Cam
V8 10.295@128.48 1.363 60\' NA Cam Only
V8 10.987@119.31 1.422 60\' NA Stock Internals
V6 13.674@98.22 NA
V6 12.394@104.91 N20 100HP

Money buys speed when it comes to forced induction etc. To a point you can just put nitrous on a car, but after that, you have to spend a ton on rebuilding the motor with forged internals.
If you want to see which motor is superior, first look at the best times for a stock H/C car.
If you want to see who has more potential, look at the fastest aftermarket H/C car (stock internals otherwise).
If you want to see who has more money, look at the fastest FI car.
Thats My opinion.
I have never encountered a fast v6 stang.
Doesn't mean there aren't any.
Stock fbodies give me more of a fight than even modified v6 stangs.1997 Chevrolet Camaro v6 - 13.8@104MPH

Some body give me 250 bucks, and I will hook a 150 to 200 shot up to my car, I aint skerd. I just need the 250 bucks for the rest of my moeny to buy me a beater till I get my shizets fix'd after I blow my engine. I aint skerd, I aint stupid, and I am sure not dumb enough to blow the engine without having another car to go to and from work. LOL, Hell I will even video tape the run too. FI doesn't make more power than nitrous. It's just a different way of making power.
The world record LS1 time is currently held by a NITROUS ONLY car. That should tell you something.Keith - Chicago
HP Tuners - PCM Reprogramming
97 Firebird V6 to LS1 swap
V8 9.967@132.78 1.322 60\' NA Heads/Cam
V8 10.295@128.48 1.363 60\' NA Cam Only
V8 10.987@119.31 1.422 60\' NA Stock Internals
V6 13.674@98.22 NA
V6 12.394@104.91 N20 100HP

nitrous is the best way to make your car driveable and strippable, or taken to the extreme, you can totally rebuild your engine around it and go APE****. if we were running ported tb, heads, bumpy cam, rockers, headers... etc... we could use like a 300 shot and hit 10's, but we don't have enough money. same with turbos/scs, you have to pay to open up your engine enough to really go nuts with that stuff.
