Me having my *** handed to me in the first round of "Modified Power Adder" Eliminations. http://wam.umd.edu/~rbeas/asshanded.mpg.mpeg
Did 6 passes, half on the pro .400 tree and half on the 3x .500 regular tree. Had fun.
60'd a tenth slower than before, even though I now have the LSD, drag shocks (HALs / CEs), (V8 springs hurt it), and disconnected the swaybar. Was consistently hitting 7psi of boost on the first three runs, then I turned up the boost using the MBC, and then started spiking above 10 psi, blowing off fittings, and even threw the damn belt. And I could only assume and pray that the FMU was working ... because I didn't have time to check it, and forgot to get a schraeder valve core remover to install the fp gauge.
Anyway ... ended up with the best time in all three categories (1/4 et, mph, 60') on my third pass -- before I started messing with boost. Was on a pro tree, and I qualified (was 8th of 9) for the Modified Street Power Adder (the big V8 class). Needless to say, in this heads up race I was defeated by a 10 sec car, but it was fun.
Best slip as follows:
R/T (Pro) 1.08
60' 2.302
1/8 9.381
1/8 78.77
1/4 14.362
1/4 98.29
So I'm happy. Sam (XJ), I'm gunnin' for you. I know there's room for improvement -- 13's shouldn't be too hard to find ... but I'm likely done for the year, and by springtime I'll have quite a few more things going with the car. I'll have dyno numbers early november. Had a good day, didn't get to see Pathogen, but enjoyable nonetheless. Good luck to everyone.
