    If you pull 2.3s now in the 60' then you should easily see a .3+ 1/4 mile improvement.

          Well, i got the gears/posi/driveshaft installed yesterday and WOW what a difference! I can spin the tires, and the car really pulls stronger.

          We'll see tomorrow how that translates in track times [img]smile.gif[/img]

            Okay, results are in... improvement, but not as much as i'd hoped.

            The track was cold, and the sun never came out to heat it up all day...surprised it didn't snow :(

            Anyways, i was spinning like a bastard... 2.3 60's most of the day, but i pulled one decent run... 2.2 60', 15.6 @ 88 mph.

            I wanted to get a converter next, but i'm afraid it'll just make things way worse ... so i'm going to have to rethink my mod wishlist for the spring... I guess i'm going to have to break down and get slicks...

              Maybe consider a little supsension work, to help you hook up. LCAs will help alot or and maybe putting a Poly U bushing on your torque arm too.

                Thanks for the tips... I think that's the approach i'm going to take... when my wife took it down the track, the car hopped like a freakin' bunny rabbit on her and she pulled a 2.7 60' :eek:

                She's only 100lbs lighter than me [img]smile.gif[/img]

                What about relocation brackets...? I know my car isnt' lowered, but i've read some articles from some guy at Spohn that they help non-lowered cars hook up as well? In conjunction with the LCA's?

                  Oh, and why not replace the torque arm? Are ours good enough, just adding the poly bushing?

                    for a basically stock car the factory torque arm is fine. look into soem upgraded control arms and relo brackets. depending on your budget, control arms can be anythign from a set of stockers with a piece of strap metal welded into to close teh open side of the stamping all teh way up to the really cool adjustable alloy ones that LG Motorsports sells.
                    the relo brackets help the control arms act as a small secondary lift point for the suspension, if you wann aget them perfect i suggest adjustable arms and panhard and take the time to get everthing aligned perfectly again.
                    teh cheapest thing you can do is to drop the front sway bar at the track and air front tires up to about 45psi before you run. the harder fronts will allow the car to start it's roll easier and the dropped front sway will allow for greater weight transfer by letting the front come up further and lay more weight on the tires.

                      I have a stock height car, and went with the BMR LCA's and rlocation brackets. I noticed a HUGE difference last night at the track from my previous runs. WHEEL HOP was NO MORE. The brackets work well on a stock height car as well. check out www.texas-speed.com for some of BMR's products.
