depends what your def. of low 12's is...I would expect to hit some 12.3's with tires with a nice 4000 as it sits now...

I will bet my car he will not lose an entire second with a 4000 stall the way the car sits now. 3800 lbs, stock manifolds, stock 2.75 catback, stock 3.23 gears...yeah...12.3 on JUST a converter and a nitto...no way...13.3 to 12.3 with one 900 mod...unless that mod is a used nitrous kit, he wont lose an entire second. Trust me on this one. I know from expereince, i kinda own the car and i kinda have a lot of mods...just kinda ;)

yeah, you lost me on what car you are talking about...
i have a friend that ran 13.1's...installed a 3800 stall and slicks and ran 12.3...
i have another buddy that ran 12.9 with headers...then 12.1 with converter and changing shift points
if you are talking about my car, i would expect 12.2-12.3 with a 3600+ stall and tires -- without headers..
not much of a debate here...people run 12.2-12.5 in a basically stock a4 with a converter and tires all the time
You know what? You own a 15 second v6. You dont know about ls1's nor do you know about going fast.Im not going to argue. Im right, You're wrong. End of story.
Youre saying that with a stall and SAY long tubes, an ls1 can go 11's ON A NITTO with a full weight, stock gear, stock computer, stock shift points, stock rev limiter, stock thermo, stock lid, stock pullies, stock cat back...youre a freaking idiot. If a stall is going to drop his time 1 FULL SECOND, then i cant imagine what a |<4|\/| would do! I R TEH HAVE KAM! I R GO 9's!! Wise up to the physicis of cars and how things work dude. If his car was on a nitto with say a 4400 stall, PERHAPS 12.6 more like 12.7's. I race with ls1's every ****ing day. It takes a whole lot more than JUST A STALL for 12.3 or better. You could hit low 12's if the car was gutted, and a gear and a stall, sure. Id beleive that. Not to mention suspension, but i guess you wouldnt know anything about that cause all it takes is a stall to go low 12's. Stock suspension will definatly help your et out! </reading or replying to this thread>
Umm he has an SS read his sig. I know a few people around here who have run 4400 stalls and reprogrammed shift points, and put DR's on and run mid to low 12's mostly depending on the driver. Say what you want. I have seen it done, as for taking cheap shots at what people drive, or their knowledge. I think you should keep your comments to yourself, as you don't know them or what they know. Have a little class Zach.

My god I hope you aren't talking to me. Don't be a ****ing tool or try to tell me I don't know what im talking about...
As your wise *** should know, some Ls1's run better than others. Mine ran 13.0 with lid/exhaust. I have two friends that went 12.78 and 12.82 with cutout/lid. with a 4000 stall and tires they would run under 12.5's...no problem...
it is possible for a stock car witha 4400 stall and tires to run low 12's...if you want to add a cutout and lid, more power to you...
i never mentioned anything about stock catback or stock anything...i mention that i had stock manifolds but that means nothing

oh, and when did i say this? i said that people run 12.2-12.5 on a basically stock ls1 with converter and tires. i guess i have to spell out "basically" as lid/cutout and what not...

Also, good runs btw merlin! I need to stop sucking at driving and run them 13.1's.

I think he was talking to both mw02 and I in his little tantrum. mw02 have all the info on times. I just said it was possible. All you need is gears Epic.. I think Firehawks came with 3.23's.
I remember the specs from 2000 and the Ram Air T/A was faster 0-60 than the Hawk was by a couple of tenths. The Quarter was about even also low 13's for both.
High Performance did a test run on the 2002 ram air and ran 13.16 completely stock, very consistantly. I have the magazine if Zach would like to read it. That would mean light mods (ie converter, tires, aftermarket lid & filter. CAI) could get the car into the mid, if not low 12's.

Oh I forgot to add exhaust to my little list. One more thing for your information Zach. Cartek in NJ has a T/A with full interior running High 10's on a Head, cam, and intake swap, witha little custom PCM tuning, headers and a Borla Catback, and 15" slicks.

Hey dude I'm on your side. I've seen it in real life myself. I wasn't coming at you at all. I was using the mags as a reference. The fact I ran 13.10's in my Ex G/F's 2000 Ram Air A4 the weekend after she rolled it off the showroom floor would mean nothing to him.
