• I just realized...

That I'm only .123 away from breaking Keith's all-time record (for how many years) These timeslips are so close.. hmmm, weight savings...nope can't do that.. not stripping the car.. still gotta wideband.. that's an option or..........jet change At least my car is very consistant, as it runs mid 12's on a regular basis. Without changing anything, I could probably do it within a couple of weeks when it gets much colder out. Next week I'll be away in Vegas, so that'll be a rest week. But the week after that...... Oh, did I mention, I almost hit the wall on Friday night on the launch?

              Shirl Good Luck!!!

Mike24 and I were talking a week ago about your car. and we both asked "Is she still on her stock converter?" And we think you are but, were not sure??

If you are, throw a converter in there while your in Vegas so that your ready to go when you get back :D

A converter will realy help you out if still on your stocker.

Any suspension work done? Just somethign simple and all around liek a set of 1LE sway bars made a little difference for me, kept daily drivability, and helped the car handle alot better in corners. Might even want to go bigger then the 32/21mm setup.

Might alos keep the rear end planted a little better and help prevent those launches towards the wall ;)

By the way are you still running the stock 17mm v6 bar, or upgraded to a v8 19mm or bigger?

Either way I woudl love to see a Camaro on top, especially one as sweet looking as yours.

I say beat the record first... your car is right there...

Then perhaps look at converters again...(i remember how crappy the last experience was for you on that :( )

                  Good luck

By the way, your situation sounds like mine, jsut modding away trying to beat new personal bests then the next thing you know your are withing .2 of beaing top on the list, then go crazy and do what it takes to get it.

Thanks everyone I'm still running the stock converter. I have an Edge converter waiting to go in, but as Ravenp said, I'd like to try and break the record first with the stock converter (so I don't take any chances or have any other possible set-backs, being that it's so close)and then I'll go from there and experiment again. I have billet aluminum LCA's and I am running the car on ET Streets now. The other night when I almost hit the wall I didn't do a long enough burnout, so I learned my lesson, almost the hard way But there are only a few weeks of racing left, so it's do or die. I'm getting worn out from the car scene. It's getting too difficult to maintain a car for shows and then racing it, only to clean it again for 4-5 hours afterward. So this season could be it for me for racing...we'll see ;) Oh, btw, any other suggestions are welcome

I am sure you know all the little secrets, unhook front endlinks, ice the motor, where some scantily clad clothes shake your booty and get some guys to push your 'maro though the staging lanes.

If you are thining about getting out of the race scene for a bit, I woudl consider upping the jets, just a tad, you are so close to it anyways. then take them out afterwards
