There was ONE post that I'm aware of that was directly advertising the site. You might remember, where you and Eric got into a pissing match. If there's anyone else that's advertising that's them, not me and I don't condone it.

There is 2 ways to adress a problem. The way kids do it in 5th grade, and a profesional way. Keith, you really need to learn the latter. Going around, flaming me and my site, is only making you look like an *** .

And also just to clarify, no where in any of my posts did I call BS on shirl, infact, I was the one who said her 2 12.0 runs where good enough in my book to back up her 11.8, in the world of NHRA .3 is good enough to back up a record run. I think its great somebody broke 11's, I have been waiting on it for 2 years now, any advancemet towards the good of the V6 FBody I am 100% down for. I myself tried to break 11's after my 12.4 run and blew my motor on a 150 shot, I sold the car, now I have it back, and yes its ready for the 150 jets once again [img]smile.gif[/img]

Hate to say it but stephan you did come off as very "jelous" to everyone reading. This is someone that, though its cool, I am not diehard into the 3.8L v6 world [img]smile.gif[/img]

I even stated, if it was someone who goofs off and acted a little immature, like myself ;) , I understand being kind of skeptical. BUt this is Shirl, she has always worked hard, been very mature about stuff. Also she has several things helping her, she is being backed by a speedshop, and too my knowledge is the only one running boost and juice. Awhile back in chat like 3 weeks ago, (I think James got in on this conversation) I was talking about how I thought Shirl would soon be the next fastest. And even shane knows I have been nagging him to hook his juice up again, even just for a small shot to "cool: his intake temps.

Granted she has some stuff like a stock converter, but she also has the potential to make alot of power and she seemed to have been running into some tuning problems running waaay lean and what not.

I got a little pissy, because I thought it kind of wrong to call B.S. on Shirl, maybe your its not what you intended but its what I felt you were doing as some others.

As for bashing the whole other boards thing... why not live and let live, you guys don't have to like it but jeez do you need to bash it? You have always been so paranoid about other people going to other boards. They still visit here, there is a huge database fo tech info here. Just keep it up and people will still come. Camaro speedemon has been a big fan of this board for awhile, he was just starting a new board, has many things people have wanted in message boards but most tech ones do not have.

Stefan, this is not meant as an attack, mearly as an observation:

Your first post was a little blunt with no congratulations at all. However, your second post was the one I thought was out of line. There were multiple posts between your first and Shirl's reply. Right after Shirl's reply when she didn't answer your questions, you resorted to accusations that she strapped on a large shot and started saying her car was a 13.9 only boost. Now I know you were upset that she didn't disclose immediately, but didn't she deserve more respect than that since she's been a long upstanding member? My first thought is that she missed your reply, or that she was checking with her sponsor (which we found the second to be true). A simple reply of "Shirl, I would really like to know this info, did you miss my post?" probably would have gotten her to say "I just have to check with my sponsor to clear everything" or something to that effect. I don't think anyone would have jumped on you for that and it would have been clear WHY Shirl didn't disclose right away. A little more tact would have gone a long way.

Like I said, I don't mean this as an attack, just an observation.

I just think you could have shown some congratulatory remarks before asking for the specifications. Granted you are a numbers guy, but geez don't be so uptight about it. You probably just came across wrong, but the comment about putting on a 200 shot made alot of people angry, hence the flame war. You have done alot for the V6 community and I commend you for it, just try to be a little more personable.

all i know is that when speaking online.. there is no way of detecting emotion.. you only have to make assumptions to how they typed it.. or worded it..

and with that said.. the way stefan accused shirl of slapping on a 200 shot, or mentioning the word cheat, it made it seem as envy.

Way to take things too literally... :rolleyes: Something easy to do, huh? Its easy to confuse what people say.

Ok sorry not everyone in this thread, thought it came off as jelous and what not, but there are 3 posts not including my own that felt this way. And if there weren't other people in the "Attn: Stephan" thread, then why was there a flame war towards him?

Why did he even need to post this to go back and explain this? There was obviously some confusion in how he came off(similar to the confusion you had about me saying "Everyone", you thought, I meant everyone but stephan and including you, while I meant, "everyone that thought he was coming off as jelous" (English Language is fun))

I am glad he cleared it up, I was a little surprised at how he sounded right off that bat. I thought even if he was going to argue with it that maybe Stephan would have been a little more professional. Jsut did not come off as professional, even if he had the intention to have it do it.

But like I said this clears alot of things up.


And Magnus, why do you always have to instigate and argument with me? Is this like a 3rd grade thing where you argue with the person you really love or something. Well I am glad you finally share the feelings I have for you.

The purpose of this thread was for me to clear the air with Shirl--or rather, at least to explain why I might have sounded to some as blunt and/or direct. With this done, this thread serves no further purpose. This issue is dropped.
