• The Moment You've All Been Waiting For

First I'd like to thank everyone who has believed in me, my car and my integrity. One of the first things out of my mouth (to my father) after breaking Keith's record 4 times, was "this is going to cause contraversy and they are not going to believe it without video." Last night I emailed the track that I race at and got this reply:
> I can give you copies of the tower printer, if you like. They should
still be available. I am not familiar with which organization actually
keeps track of the record you are speaking of. I would be more than happy
to speak to anyone that
> > you refer to us to verify our timing system, its accuracy, etc.
> > Tony D
So... I will be obtaining an official track record along with the 4 timeslips that I already have. 3 of my 4 timeslips have been submitted to Keith via email TODAY. Keith, please post these as soon as possible. We're getting tired of seeing your 12.396 up there...j/k
Stefan, I have a few things to say to you. I respect your ability to maintain order on this board. However, your posts were out of line. It was so nice to see that so many members saw that too. Racing is just that. Run what you brung and if you ain't brung enough...tough sh*t.. Just ask the Vette AND the 69' Camaro that I was racing that day. That being said the first thing I will say is that it is was NOWHERE NEAR a 200 shot. I didn't immediately post because of you and because I wanted to contact my sponsor today who has helped make this all possible over the years. Oh, and before I forget...Redbird, I'd like to say something to you also: you NEVER submitted a timeslip and were posted on the #3 spot with a car that you no longer own. I found that to be a bit discriminating toward other members. But anyway...I don't have time to be miserable...Have you guys ever seen the Siegfried and Roy videos? Very inspirational and uplifting. Helps you create a positive outlook. So here it is...the moment you've all been waiting for:

Powerdyne: 6psi of boost
NX Wet Kit: 100 hp shot
Inline Pump
Full exhaust: Borla cat-back, Rk Sport Headers, high flow cat
Aluminum 1LE Driveshaft
Stock Torque Converter
Stock Motor
ET Streets
Damn Good track and weather conditions
No, I don't have any spare motors...And I don't have any work done to my stock motor because it is a Show Car and I keep it detailed. These are the main mods for a car that has been worked on since 1997. Hope this helps and it gives inspiration to those of you who are looking to achieve the same dream! Shirl, I had to just re-save it so the forum would fix the bugs. Thats why it wasn't showing up. I didn't edit any text.

How come in the LS1 world someone can break the record on film with an ET of 8.52 and tell everyone "Hey I have a 427 built by this shop and its obvious that I have an ATI and a little juice" and that is sufficient? But when the 11.99 barrier is broken in a V6 its not?

Congrats Shirl. Sounds like, with some heads and cam and forged bottom, you can be a 10 sec. ;)

I'm very proud of you

Wow! Only 6PSI, a 100HP shot, and minor other work... that is amazing shirl... To have an f-body in the 11's with stock motor and stock converter is very encouraging! GO SHIRL!!!

well. magnus ran 12.3 with minor work and a 100 shot. she has 6psi more, which is around 60HP more. i can see it..

its just all about weather and hooking.

First off I did submit all timeslips, AND the runs I made was made while I owned the car that I now own AGAIN. I never questioned your runs, but as somebody still wanting to learn more than I already know I simply asked questions, and if I am not mistaken I backed you up when I said your 2 12.0 runs would be more than enough in my book to back up your 11.8 run. All my questions where out of pure curiousity because you are on stock internals, stock converter and full street trim, but I guess the old saying still holds true, curiousity killed the cat

Wow, nice work, man this gets the mod itch going again. I also like how it is done on stock engine and internals, shows there is more speed ready to be unleashed with some more work. Really there is a lot more hp waiting...this is awesome news. Thanks for the new hope!!!
