AND THE MOTHER OF ALL NITROUS EXPLOSION/ BACK FIRES HAPPENED!!!!!

It was SOOOOO damn cool!!!

I got out of the car.

Put my hands up in the air and jumped around celebrating!!!!!!

We have pictures and video of it :D

The crowd saw pieces flying everywhere

I checked the car and:
Another rubber 90 degree bend elbow is destroyed
Throttle body screen is NO WHERE to be found
Ring for TB screen burned to hell and bent
2 air filters burned up
vaccum line blown off
black plastic elbow into brake booster blown to pieces
A/C ducting for ram air DESTROYED!
IAT sensor blown out
mass air toasted

Um.... basically... a SH*T load of stuff.

I rigged it to make it home.... pictures to be posted shortly!

Sniff sniff... I'm so proud!

This is the second time I have had a wet kit backfire and it is severe!

The dry kit back fires aren't that bad.

Time for the next logical step up to prevent backfires......

Never heard anybody get excited over a nitrous backfire Knock on wood I have never experienced a nitrous backfire on the track or otherwise, now I feel left out I got the bird back a month ago and I think she is ready to go back on the bottle once again, hopefully next weekend, we'll see

Why would you be excited to have a nitrous backfire and blow apart a bunch of things on your car?

Because when it all went boom, he got a wiff of the nitrous that was pouring out from under his hood, and it made him happy.

When you have a nitrous backfire, you know what happens instantly and you know its going to be expencive. Only thing to do is grin and bare it and just think how bad *** the flames coming out from your hood looked, other than that sadness would insue ;)

Be sure to check you MPS, I blew the bottom off mine and it is one of the last things I thought to check heh.

WHY?

This is my hobbie.

If you want to play you have to be prepared to pay!

What, should I be all mad and hate my car for blowing up?

It's not its' fault.

I can run 14.2 N/A and there is a bit more in it.
I can spin to mid 12's on a BAD DAY!
I get 33 mpg
I have MORE 12 second passes than ANYONE on the board
I now am approaching 950 passes on my car.
I have hit a 1.630 60 foot in the past which shows the TRUE potential of my car!
