  • Finally did it! 11.888 @ 113.57 all motor!! [LS1]

Finally got booted from the track today! Had ET streets on and finally hooked in 1st gear. First pass of the night I launched as I would have with drag radials, just laying into it instead of stomping it.

    60' - 1.682
    330 - 4.936
    1/8 - 7.671
    MPH - 89.71
    1000- 10.034
    1/4 - 12.033
    MPH - 112.72

Next pass, I just loaded the suspension at about 2000 RPM then flashed the converter

    60' - 1.629
    330 - 4.844
    1/8 - 7.560
    MPH - 90.53
    1000- 9.904
    1/4 - 11.888 <-- NEW BEST!!
    MPH - 113.57

On my final pass I backed up my previous new best. Only brake-torqued to about 1800 then flashed the verter

    60' - 1.612 <-- NEW BEST!!
    330 - 4.829
    1/8 - N/T [clock messed up]
MPH - N/T [clock messed up]
    1000- N/T [clock messed up]
    1/4 - 11.890
    MPH - 113.19

At that final pass I was no longer allowed to run. These times were on a buddy's 26" x 11.50" x 16" ET streets. I plan to get either 26" or 27" ETs for my 15" draglites sometime soon, so hopefully I can get that 60' into the 1.5s. WAHOO!!!

First - Why not use a spacer? 5/16" is nothing.

Second - If you want to grind, just start grinding until they dont rub, not that hard to figure out. You will be grinding a lot though.

I know I had to grind I just wanted to know if there is a point were the calipers wont be as strong or sturdy if you grind them to much??
