• What is wrong with this vehicle

timeslip is as follows
R/T .355
60' 2.4 ( I think I need et streets )
330 6.6
1/8 10.0
MPH 72.68
1000 12.9
1/4 15.3
MPH 92.32

This is on my street 16" tires and I juiced it in 2nd and 3rd. I didnt stick very well and spun through first gear, but all I had was enough juice for the one shot this time.

I know I need sticky tires, but I just cant hook off the line, do I need suspension parts? Which ones, etc, etc

I have just exhaust and intake stuff, then nitrous so not alot of mods.

What would be your recommends for the next few mods?
I was running this with a 75 shot? I think with some Et's and skinnies with a 100 wet. An easy 14, but my MPH seems like I should already be there.
I got stuff...<br /><br /> <a href=\"http://community.webshots.com/user/mksucum\" target=\"_blank\">http://community.webshots.com/user/mksucum</a>

First off, you need to learn how to drive :D A 2.4 60 ft is not very good. Once you get it down to a 2.0 you should see about a .7 or .8 difference in ET. You do the math ;)

What were your times before the nitrous? As shirl said, once you knock down the N/A times (i.e. the 60'), life will be better. Get a nice solid NA slip, and then go spray in 3rd, then 2nd and 3rd, then outta the hole!

It a NX wet kit, and the timeslip was with a 75 shot.

I hit it in 2nd and 3rd on that run.

And shirl thanks for the blunt info, but are 2.0 60's possible on street 16" tires?

I think the problem is not the car, but me. See that is only the second time I have been to the track so I am a majorly noob when it comes to track so I just need practice, but since winter is coming up time to start modding agian.

What would you guys do for the winter?
Slicks and skinnies
suspension stuff
LSD, shifter, maybe 3.42's
heads, cam, tuning????

What would you guys recommend I do first?
And also while I am here, is it worth the money to switch to 3.42's from my 3.23's????

start with posi and gears. they will be the biggest bang for the buck improvement and will help both n/a and on teh bottle.
i would suggest looking towards 3.73's to get teh most out of the combo.
after that look into soem of the simple bolt on suspension stuff. boxed control arms(i will actually be putting up a link for a DIY on my site soon for this) and a good torque arm(thunderracing sells a nice BMR one with tubular construction and a stock style mounting that is nice), and control arm relo brackets(i prefer weld in to bolt on). all of this stuff will help your cars handling and straight line performance :D
these mods will easily put you well into the 1.9's for a 60ft with a little practice.
for further down teh track i suggest a pro 5.0 shifter and a lou's short stick to quicken things up.
practice is the biggest thing though. without a knowledge of what the car likes, all the parts in the world are useless.

well I drive on the highway ALOT, every summer I drive it to Michigan and back to Oklahoma, so I do a ton of highway miles.

If the 3.73's wont affect highway availability to much I will get those?

With nitrous, I would stick with 3.42's if I were you. Unless you are going to stay on a 75 shot or smaller and aren't going to mod much more.

no I plan on modding much more, but I need to learn how to launch right now. The goal is a 12 sec timeslip eventually

she is right a 2.0 will help you about .7-.8 in the 1/4.

2.0s are possible, I did it on bald street tires, but I did have 3.42s, lsd. But still, I am hitting 2.1s on Eagle GAyS dead stock.

As for the mph, does seem a little low for a 75 shot, I hit 90ish, n/a bone stock. Sure the juice was pumping the whole time?

You probably don't need to be spraying on your second trip to the track (not ragging on you, just a suggestion), if you haven't tortured the car already, nitrous might be a bad idea.
Good luck!

With a 75 shot your car should be a lot faster man. Heck you should be running that time N/A. Send me a message on aim next time ya head to the track and I'll take it for a spin and see if it's your driving or not
