Very nice man and guess what! Right after I talked to you in the lanes (I'm the guy that was running the 1997 Silver V6) I ran a 14.93@89.73mph! So it looks like we both had a very good night. Congratulations on the 14 second run man. With I could say I went 14s without removing the belt.

Wow. How many times did you give me crap about saying 3.8's can run 14's NA with very little work?

I remember it was quite often...

When you had the 3.4 it was always 3.8's where high 15 low 16 sec cars stock..

          What was up with that?

                1. You gave me flack about "god" this and "god" that.. SO many people did.. Never ONCE did I EVER refer to myself as a GOd of anything.. and you refer to yourself as a God.. ok. cool.

                2. No.. the average stock 3.8 is a low 15 sec car.. period.

People race tanks in crappy weather with subs and a bunch of other crap with plugs that have 90K on them and air filters that haven't seen sunlight since 1998. Of course they go high 15's. If your 3.8 runs 16's then either your altitude is really high, the air REALLLLY sucks or your car has major issues.

magnus, its ok to admit your wrong... I hold up my statement... average 3.8L v6 is a mid 15 to low 16 second car. My car is a fluke, or me the driver is a fluke... ask anyone about my old 3.4L...

I'll admit that the M5 and Y87 auto 3.8's can be low 15 sec cars stock, but Magnus, do you really think the 3.08 A4 is a LOW 15 sec? I thought the average was around 15.7-8?

Exactly and the average 3.8L is pretty much a 3.08 auto... There are many of many people in the high 15s, low 16s...

Average 3.8 is not a 3.08 auto.. FORGET about 3.08 auto's.. if you have a 3.08 you shouldn't be at the strip anyway.

                              I ran 15.5 with 3.08's and 15.1 with 3.42's pretty stock.

                              Most 00+ 3.8's are 3.42.

Your car is not a fluke. You are not john force either. You just know how to drive a car.

FYI, One of the locals up here was runnin 15.1's and such.. I took her car which was relatively stock for 1 try down the strip and ran a 14.9 in it.. go figure.

I've seen so many stock and intake/exhaust 3.8's run 14.9's to 15.1's up here in summer weather. We are at 770' above sea level and race at DA's of 1000+ too.

If your car is a dog, it has issues, is a tank, can't breathe, or the weather sucks *** .

I bet bone stock factory cars are a lot faster than your "average" 3.8.. because people forget to do the simple things that really make a difference.
