Hey Magnuts, make sure you mark your tire and your wheel with a little paint or something to make sure that rim isn't spinning inside that slick!! Those are wrinkled!!! Santa might need to bring you some tubes and screws.

All the local tracks near me will NOT let car vs bike runs, even on a rental day.

                    Not safe.

                    2980 RACE WEIGHT????

I use 5/16" spacer on the front. I'm not sure if I can run without a spacer though, I haven't tried.

That's a dayum good 1/4 time for a LS1 with no motor work. Throw a cam and/or a shot of nitrous on it I see 10s easily.

Keith, I know you were trying to go for the record for stock motor LS1, do you know what that record is right now? I just saw a car in GMHTP that was doing 10.6 or better

                              11.27 stock heads/cam. I am .05 off, half a tenth.

                              the 10.5 is with heads/cam.

Do most of the big races on the East Coast have minimum race weight requirements? I know at the Thunder Shoot Out a month or so ago, it was like 3350lbs or so (don't rememebr exactly, but the heads/cam class was right in there)...Just curious, because at this race, nearly everyone was having to ADD weight into the cars to get to that weight, and it would be weird for you to have to add like 300 lbs or more to hit that weight, kind of ironic.

Adding weight to get to a certain point, after you've taken a bunch out on purpose can be challenging too. Our Project Z28 had a massive tractor tire in the back, 4 jackstands, and a big floorjack. We had to gas up before a couple races to make sure at the end of the race we wouldn't be too light, and raced most of the shootout really close to a full tank Sorry for the long post, I was just curous if the races up there had any of these requirements.
