    I see many people saying its best to have a fan switch so you can cool your engine down more between runs to get a faster 1/4 time. I also see people saying you get the best 1/4 time if your motor is at operating temp. which is best for drag racing and why.

    I don't run a fan switch.

    I like to stage with a temperature of 165-170
    If it is as high as 185 I'm not happy.

    Any higher and perf is lost :(

      right 165 is where you want it not to cold not to hot. Hot = not fast period, a fan switch makes it easy with a 160 thermo to get back to 165 asap

        With the fan switch I can hotlap 3-4 maybe 5 runs b/f I drop off. Then the car cools off in like 10-15 mins. Best free mod I ever did.
