I see many people saying its best to have a fan switch so you can cool your engine down more between runs to get a faster 1/4 time. I also see people saying you get the best 1/4 time if your motor is at operating temp. which is best for drag racing and why.

I don't run a fan switch.
I like to stage with a temperature of 165-170
If it is as high as 185 I'm not happy.
Any higher and perf is lost :(Race car - gone but not forgotten - 1997 firebird V6
nitrous et & mph: 12.168 & 110.95 mph, n/a 13.746 & 96.38 mph

With the fan switch I can hotlap 3-4 maybe 5 runs b/f I drop off. Then the car cools off in like 10-15 mins. Best free mod I ever did.Keith - 99 'maro - White M5 - bumpstick and boltons - 13.65 @ 101 N/A
