Magnus you can skip to the bottom if you do not want to read my entire post.
New best 60' ;) not a new best time...
I hit a 2.105 60' on open diffy and original factory tires My 60' was like a 2.12 I think on my 14.4 run, don't have slip in front of me.
Was pretty cool, car in the left lane died on launch while they cleaned up the left lane, they ran right lane only... Since I had no one, I was focussing on a perfect launch, had a 4.9XX second r/t :D I wanted a perfect launch. But still pretty sick 2.105 with open diffy... I lost traction on the top end of the 1st... which is wierd, my car has been doing that every now and then.
Anyone know what causes the wheel to break loose at the top end of the gear, its like flooring it in 3rd gear in the rain, where it gripping a little then, as it gets to the upper rpms spins... At launch I woudl think I woudl spin the entire launch on a prepped track. I have been having the problem ever since I got the car.
No new best times this is the first night I have not improved on the previous night's runs. Humidity was still pretty high it rained on really hard on Monday(caused alot of leaks at my work I have to get a roofer out to fix :mad , still puddles on the return roads, and mud in the grass areas, but temp was nice 55-60sih. And tonight my car would not cool all night long, took forever! But you know I am just making excuses
I was down 2 mph on average on my runs... 14.6 was my best, pulled a 14.7, both with belt off, and ran one 14.8 with the belt on.
Either way I am out of drag racing for a bit. I have spent $75 this month(not including ice, and gas) this month, and $45 last month, I have been at the track the last 8 test and tunes in a row. I just bought rims tires, some apperance stuff, $1100 warranty today(too bad doesn't cover clutches :( ), and still have to save up for an insurance payment, and Cruise in June. All while going to school full time and working part time, with no loans, scholarships or financial aid.
Hopefully somewhere in there I can snatch up a Take off LSD from SLP, before they all disapear.
Magnus, you can ignore my 14.6 I submitted awhile ago, I didn't expect any improvements over that time and I will submit my new timeslip asap. Sorry for the trouble.
